Rudy Currence Review: I recommend this CD! - This is one of my favorite CD's for those times I need something high paced but searching for a healthy influence in that kind of paced music. Lecrae brings awesome beats and profound lyrics that bless and also make the listener think. Not only is this awesome jam, it is inspiring and challenging in its message. The lyrics are also very relatable. I recommend you get this CD if you want excellent rap music, especially Christian rap. Review: Steppin' Up - This album is crazy....the beats and quality are ridiculous.....like the title says Lecrae and 116 are steppin up their music.....as always Lecraes music glorifies Jesus Christ and gives a great alternative for those of us who grew up listening to rap and hip-hop that is of this world and that no longer interests us because of it's message and content.....the message is the same but the beats and quality and Lecraes flow is getting better and better....worth every penny....and I'm not ashamed to listen to this music infront of my 2 year old son who loves to dance to it because the message is great.

Mayday!!!!
I absolutely love this album! I bought it as a gift for my boyfriend, and I have fallen in love with it. This is the first full Lecrae album, so I can't say it's the best, but it is defiantly better than other artist. His lyrics have depth, rooted in the Word on God. The music is awesome, giving one the chance to enjoy the sounds behind the lyrics. I highly recommended this to anyone who likes gospel, or rap.

Gravity
Would give this review the highest rating possible. Very few artist's blend outstanding production with meaningful lyrical content. And Lecrae pulls this off with grace. This is a powerful project that the whole family will enjoy. I've let most of my department at work listen to the album and they all tell me how good these tracks sound. Look forward to seeing Lecrae perform live and to see what the Lord will do with him on future projects. This is a great album.

Almost his best
I say almost his best because I bought it for me at my level, I say that to say this this album was missing something to me, I never listened to it before I bought it. That's because I knew it would be good as normal. But there was something I just couldn't put my finger on, the first review I read on here hit it right between the eyes. The theology that his songs are usally wrapped in was missing, not totally but in a light blanket, not as heavy as normally is all. I agree this maybe the way we get Lecrae in the ear's of more main stream listeners, unchurched listeners. If that is the aim great we should support the effort, to God be the glory for his efforts. It is Still a good Album!!

Different in a good way
Before purchasing the CD, I read several reviews and was prepared to be disappointed. It sounded like Lecrae's music had gone downhill, and it sounded like he had left the gospel core. I will certainly agree that "Gravity" sounds different. It is more produced than most of his other songs. One of the first things I also noticed was that I couldn't understand the lyrics nearly as well as I could in most of his other songs on previous albums. I love Lecrae's sound, but his lyrics are what draw me in the most. That being said, his new sound is different, but I don't see that as a bad thing. It's very professionally done and adds some spice to my Lecrae playlist. I love how Lecrae is so eclectic, and this fits that pattern very well. As far as leaving the gospel message, this couldn't be farther from the truth. So many of his songs on this album deal with depravity and the need for grace. So he may not explicityl name Jesus every other word, but the gospel is preached, and you DEFINITELY get the conclusion of Jesus. But Lecrae does a great job setting up one's need for him in this album. Christ's name is meaningless if there's no realization of need for him alone. I want to add one other comment to this last part. I just went to see Lecrae and others last night, and I can assure you he has not left the gospel message. He and the other artists proclaimed the gospel message all night long, and Lecrae ended the concert with a twenty minute gospel message. The quality of his music in terms of sound has gone up, and his message has remained as strong as ever, though it may be a little more nuanced now.

Won a Grammy without trying
Need I say more? I'm glad I bought the physical copy of this just because it is a cool album. Con: When you load the album on your Computer/Ipod it is impossible to listen to the album's entirety due to the way the metadata was written. The only way it works is to browse by composer. That is the only way to avoid all the Lecrae Feat. Trip Lee, Tedashii, etc. Pro: Songs -Power Trip -Violence -Faker Are all awesome with neat soundscapes.

Sehr geiles Album. Hammer beats und abwechslungsreiche Hooks. Unglaublich gute feat. Gäste. Was echt schade ist, dass die Itunes Version tatsächlich ganze 4 Songs mehr auf dem Album hat ! Ansonsten klare Kaufempfehlung. Wer gut Christliche Musik unterstützten will, sollte das Album kaufen. God Bless.

I really don't care for the text of most of the rap music out there today. It is nice to have an artist that my daughter can listen to and I don't have to worry about what she is hearing.
