AA5170 x 8 custom extreme surround sound home theater system absolutely outstanding!
The media could not be loaded. Absolutely outstanding the AA5170 acoustic audio buy goldwood is a pretty unique little home theater system I bought the system back in 2019 just to get good sound for my 42- inch HDTV one of them pretty good sound not too bad use the Bluetooth and SD card and FM radio for a while but mostly using it for my surround sound for the television we hooked it up to my 55 inch TV in 2020 still sounding good but something was missing it was flat on one side of the room the base is what I mean came up with an idea to buy a extra subwoofer couldn't find one to fit the bill so I was going to scrap that idea Something Told me just buy another one put a 3.5 splitter in between it to split the signal and put it on the other side of the dresser so I did that in 2021 and what a great idea the sound changed more Fuller more stronger more Bass two units 5.1 surround sound system and I was enjoying it then I said you know I can do something with these units because what I had just did wasn't ever done before to my knowledge with this type of unit so I decided to do an experiment try different items and see will it work with this system I did that started coming up with more ideas as I went along decided to buy two more units oh my God sound changed again this time the base more stronger vibrating the floor and walls it turned it into Dolby Atmos because I had put the speakers on the walls uppers and lowers and rear and I had an EQ hooked up to I figured that out was able to control the base trouble in mid-range it was awesome brought a friend over to test the sound level she had a gadget with a mic and meter and the power that we pushed out was over 1400 Watts of sound power and I didn't turn it up as loud we may have have got more power if I turn it up a little bit more or a lot but the sound was totally clean even if I turn it up louder it states 700 Watts total power for one unit I can't give it that but I can give it 70 Watts for one of them but even one has good power and sound and with eight for each unit that's brings it up to 560 Watts of power plus sound power for all eight of them plus a little more with everything connected up to it felt like I had two powered j b l 18s Subs speakers connected up to these units. With these units I wasn't using the Bluetooth or FM radio or USB anymore the preamp that I had hooked up to the system had all the functions that the surround sound system has BT for Bluetooth FM radio SD card USB so I was just using the units for the speakers the amp inside and the processor which became a good experiment that turned into a project I highly recommend the aa5170. 71. and 72. And all the acoustic audio portable surround sound systems that they make you could do just what I did with all of them when you get more of them which there are 5.1 surround sound systems it turns them into channels more channels when you have several more you can do a lot of things with this unit expanded additional unit you already have or add on to another unit by another brand with this unit the ideas is unlimited the game has been changed for units like this and the aa5170 has paved the way I highly recommend it my custom sound is Ultimate extreme this is the best who knew that you could use professional equipment with a consumer items I didn't know until now this is a long story so I highly recommend buying this unit and if you want more sound buy another one and connect using adapter and splitter to split the signal and create your most ultimate system but there is one thing if you used the Bluetooth SD card FM radio you can only use one or the other unit you can't use both at the same time that's why you need to get a preamp with the same functions that the aa5170 has it will be complete because you can use both units at the same time. You can build the most outrageous system with these units highly recommend aa5170 71 and 72 + all the rest of them order this unit you would be really happy if you did incredible inexpensive 5.1 surround sound system,,

This speaker system has some power to it. I was impressed!
I had my eye on this for a little over a year, but finally made the plunge when I needed to have something for a party that required music. I bought this really focused on having something with a good amount of power. I read some reviews on here for these speakers and some were good, some where bad, so ultimately this comes down to personal opinion. The speakers arrive in a nice box. As I opened the package, my first thought was "these speakers seem a little small. I'm not sure that these will be loud enough." I plugged in just the sub/receiver and the center speaker and had the volume at 15 (30 is the max) and I was shocked at how loud it was. I took it up to 30 and my roommates and neighbors were a little concerned about the noise - again, only the sub and center speaker - I hadn't even plugged in the remaining 4 speakers. The bass from the sub is amazing!I haven't had the time to test all the speakers connected, but I'll update this review in a few days.UPDATE (After a few days later)I am still really impressed with these speakers! I managed to do a sound test at a friend's house that has a big backyard, this time connecting all 5 speakers. This little set did an impressive job by my standards. My friend was equally impressed with the audio. The controls seem basic, but provide means for controlling volume for the surround speakers individually from the front speakers, the sub, etc - that's nice to be able to adjust the speaker zone volumes.I actually ended up buying two because I was a little concerned that I might not have enough sound from this system for an outdoor venue, but one was enough. Nonetheless, I did a sound test of both simultaneously using a 3.5 mm y splitter to an aux source and the sound was impeccable. No delays, no issues, no regrets at all. I'm keeping the secondary unit; the price is too much of a bargain. My apologies in advance to my neighbors.Would I recommend this system - Absolutely!

Excellent for the average user
I use this as a PC speaker surround setup hooked up to a large TV in my somewhat large-ish living room. It has worked perfectly for about 8 months so far ... I got tired of fighting with ARC/eARC and HDMI on a PC, both in Linux and Windows, so I went old school. I found a decent 7.1 analogue sound card on craigslist for $5 and was off to the races. When the set arrived, I was already prepared with an extra 150 feet of speaker wire, a pair of old PC speakers to add the extra 2 channels, and a full set of "dome tweeters," as suggested by other reviewers of this setup.I lowered to 4 stars total because before I added the tweeters, the sound seemed perfectly fine to my non-audiophile ears, but once I added them, the difference was undeniable, the sound had a much more "alive" sound as others put it. Maybe this brings me a step closer to audiophile. The best way I can describe it would be the difference between listening to the outside world with or without earplugs, though without the actual volume difference, or perhaps the difference of hearing a conversation in the next room with or without the door closed. The higher pitched sounds (birds chirping, cymbals, sirens, etc) are relegated to tiny quiet things that may or may not be heard at all.I leave the volume knob at 18 (out of 30) and the sound as absolutely clear. This is also extremely loud if I up the volume on my PC to 100%. Even if I want loud music, the PC is still only at about 60-70% ... My guess is that this will make the system last longer as well. Overall I am happy with it, and if you are the type who doesn't mind a little elbow grease and putting in a little work, this is a killer setup for the money.
