AQUAGE Defining Gel Unisex, 16 oz.

Really, this stuff is great. I have medium-length, very thick 2B/2C curly hair and this works great to hold my curls in place! It reactivates well in the morning with some water (I do the pineapple at night), and helps keep frizz down and curls well-formed with this routine for several days at a time. After a shower I try to leave a little bit of conditioner in, then I'll scrunch out excess water, use the gel as my only styling product, and then let it air-dry. When my hair is longer I'll also use some LA Looks gel on the underside of my mane for a better hold (and because it's so much cheaper than Aquage!). I notice that LA Looks typically leaves the hair a little crunchier while Aquage leaves the hair softer, but Aquage seems to last longer.ALSO a little advice - watch the price for this product on Amazon, or use an app like Honey to watch it for you - I've seen this product double in price for a few days and then come back down. I usually add it to my Honey drop list when I've got 1/3 of a bottle left so I know when it's best to buy.

This stuff doesn't leave your hair sticky or dry, brushes out and hair still looks good.

Aguage for me is the best soft defining gel I've found. My hair dresser used this wonderful gel on my hair. I was in awe of how well it controlled the firzzies my hair tends to have with most other gels. I only use about the size of a quarter at the most. It doesn't look gluey or dull my hair. I've been using Aquage for about 5 years and I'm never disappointed. Even during this time of pandemic it tames my what seems to be a curly, overgrown mop!!I highly recommend this product.

I could never wear my hair curly until I started using Deva curl light defining gel. That stuff worked great, and held my curls for 3 days, but I had to put a ton of product on and my hair got really knotted and hurt like heck to comb out. This product has good hold without being like glue. I can also get 3 days out of this product by spraying my hair lightly with water each day and re-drying. I had frizz with deva curl, not with this product. One other thing about Deva curl, if you leave a bottle of light defining gel to sit around for a few months it is no longer a gel because it gets watery and is ruined.

I use Aquage Defining Gel when I let my curly hair air dry. I put the gel on my wet hair and let it air dry. The curls are manageable and hold. Please note it is a very strong hair setting. For a straighter look I put it on wet my hair after washing and blowing it out. It adds control then, too.

I've used Aquage for years. This product is good but it is not the same as the product you buy in the salon. I normally love the way there product smells but this definitely doesn't smell the same as the salon product.

I have stick straight hair. Not a curl on my head. How can it be that a product for permed or curly hair is my new favorite hair care product? I think this stuff is mislabeled or being marketed to the wrong crowd. It should say in big letters " This product will add major volume to straight hair and will keep that volume for the entire day"! I never would have tried this if my hairdresser hadn't used in to blow out my hair. It keeps my hair soft and full and shiny. So rename this product and double your sales!

Excellent product. Does not weigh the hair down.
