Don't buy this!
Not compatible with Windows 7. Olympus does not have drivers available for anything other than XP. Essentially makes this thing useless to me. It does have a USB port to connect a camera but who does that anymore? If you really want one you can easily find one on the auction site for as little as $40.

Nice Printing, but expensive
I won a P-11 in an office contest, so the price was right. First, it does do a very nice job with boardless 4x6 prints and the quality, to my eyes, is as good as it gets. I hooked it up to my Canon Powershot SD750 and everything worked great. Now the negatives:1- No Windows 7 drivers (yet?). I went to the Olympus web site and emailed Olympus help and have not had a return response. If you have Windows 7 I would check to see if any drivers are available before you buy if you want to print from your computer.2- Expensive. the P-11 retails for $150. Add that to the fact that you have to use special paper and ink cartages and you are into some serious money to print some 4-6, or smaller pictures.3-Ink cartages and special paper (they come as a set) probably must be ordered on line (not a problem as long as you know you can't get resupply at a local store). I went to Best Buy and told they what I needed and he looked at me with an expression of pity and sympathy. Since Olympus is not a household name in printing, unless you live in a major market all ordering must be done online.4-Limited use because of print size. May or may not be an issue, but it seems to me that for $150 I ought to be able to do 5x7 or 8x10.5-Printer comes with paper and ink for only five pictures. So, if you do buy be sure to get extra paper and ink when you get the printer.

Olympus P-10 first impressions
Today I got to play with an Olympus P-10 printer I just received. It comes with a starter pack of ribbon and paper good for 5 4x6 pictures. The printer uses Dye-Sublimation technology. It prints Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and a special overcoat layer that makes prints fade resistant. You can connect the printer to your PC with a USB cable, or, if your camera supports PictBridge technology, you can connect the camera to the printer directly, and print without PC.There are two paper sizes supported by the printer 4" x 6" and 3.5" x 5". You have to buy special paper, which comes with ribbon. What I like the most about this printer, is that it produces borderless pictures without the need to tear off perforation or anything like that. When it spits out a picture it's just like from your local drug store - glossy, and ready to use. Or, if you prefer, you can specify to print the images with white border. The printer is very easy to use, fast, and looks superb. I welcome the fact that it doesn't require any nozzle cleaning, head adjusting, or much preparation at all.But now is the most important question. How good can it print? I run through the supplied pack very quickly, printing 5 pictures from my collection. Two of the pictures I printed before, using Epson Stylus Photo 820 Printer, Epson Inks, and Epson Premium Glossy Photo Paper. The ink-jet clearly had an advantage rendering light tones, seeing as it was a 6-color printer. The Olympus, unfortunately, really struggles with rendering light blue. The lighter shades of sky don't look all well to me. Another area where I wouldn't mind to see improvement is shadow detail. Perhaps we are ready for 6 or 7 color Dye-Sub printers, 3 colors may be not adequate.Off course just 5 pictures is not enough to get familiar with the printer, I am sure, as I gain experience with it and learn to play with settings, I should be able to foresee difficult to print areas of images, and perhaps correct them in order to get better prints.Overall the printer produces very nice results. And I can see that it will be much easier to maintain and use than an ink-jet.

Excellent photo printer
I have been delighted with the P10. As an Apple user I have had no problems getting the color balance correct between the printer my G4 desktop and the 3 powerbooks we have in our family. The printer is attached to an Airport Express base station so everyone has access to it. The quality is amazing, the supplies reasonably priced, and installation is a snap. I downloaded the latest Mac drivers from Olympus's site and it worked immediately after plugging it in.My advice? BUY IT!

Outdated software renders this product useless
I did not buy this printer from Amazon, I found it in my aunts garage but I would like everyone to know that I've been trying to get this printer to work for 2 days now. The downloadable software for it is only updated to work on up to Windows XP...I have Windows 10. I tried connecting my canon rebel T3i directly to it using pict-bridge, no use, I think it's too old to recognize it. I also tried connecting my iPhone via usb, that Alison didn't work, not that I expected it to. I'm not saying the printer is bad quality I'm just saying, in terms of buying this product in 2016 (it's still for sale as you can see) I would not recommend it unless you have an old computer that still has Windows XP.For the record i have a YouTube channel and would consider myself at least moderately experienced when it comes to technology, I built my own computer form scratch and fix amps all the time. If I can't figure it out, the average buyer probably won't be able to either.

WARNING: Not Macintosh compatible
You have to read the fine print on the Olympus web site very carefully to discover that this printer is not compatible with the Macintosh OS. According to their Technical Support, there are no plans to develop a driver for the Mac.I am able to use mine as a PictBridge printer, printing directly from the camera. Its prints are fair to good, but not excellent. But since I cannot print my stored images from my computer, I will sell the P-10 and buy something else, and it probably will not be manufactured by Olympus.
