I bought these to repair some holes made by carpenter bees. Apparently they are willing to work with screens, too.The best thing about this repair kit is that the patches are real metal screen material. Some repair kits are nothing more than plastic patches with lines on them. If you want to do a proper repair, I'd suggest these.The patches are easy enough to put in place: remove a bit of wire on either side of the patch, press into the screen and then bend the prongs back, locking the patch in place.The one downside of the product is that you just get one size-but these can be trimmed to fit.

Very good, does the trick. It's a little awkward to push the threads through to the other side of the screen and fold them back, but I think it's better than the adhesive method. The patch is definitely visible, so your screen will NOT look like new, but if you prefer to patch rather than buying a new screen, this is definitely a good option.

Repurposed this dcreen. I cut and fit the screen to cover the Plaster of Paris in the bottom of my insect killing jars. It prevents these insects from touching the plaster which can be moist from the acetone killing agent. It works very well as part of my Summer Science Project.

The package arrived with 3 inch patches piled atop one another. You remove one, pull on one of the wires and use that pulled wire to intertwine it into the wire mesh of the old screens. It's not what I expected but can work if you do it right.I expected a patch with purpose-built flaps that would attach the patch to the old area. Instead, you have to gently separate an aluminum wire from the patch to be that attachment device. Crude, not to say cheap.This stuff works, but it should be better. It is not a designed patch, but merely a cutout of a larger screen...

It is easy pulling some of the lines out and pushing it through the screen, but it is fairly obvious where the patch is and I'm not sure how to have it really tied in with the old screen. Are you supposed to reweave it yourself for each strand? Functional enough, but I imagine there are better solutions. But for cheap and easy and with low expectations, it does a good job.

I bought this to cover the bunghole on top of an oak barrel that I'm converting to a rain barrel. I just screwed one of these down over the hole to keep mosquitoes out. I have a tube feeding the barrel from the gutter directly into the barrel, but I didn't cork the hole because it keeps water from pooling on top of the barrel.

Works good. Not easy to install by yourself. You need someone on the outside to push against the screen as you push the tiny things through the screen. My sister (on the inside) had to wear reading glasses to see the tiny strips, and had to use tweezers to keep them straight to go through the screen openings.A tip: The person on the outside should pull on the strips to get patch as close as possible to the screen, and then fold the ends down.

The patches sorked fine. You do have to take out strands of wire on the edges to insert into the window screen.

Used this when I restored a candle lantern to prevent wasps from entering the chimney. Worked great. Seems to be good quality. Not sure how good it would look on a screen repair. But hey, it's a screen patch.
