JTT Storage Trunk, Model# 2820-20P

I searched a long time for a sturdy rectangular trunk as close to the maximum allowed size for plane travel. This is the only trunk that I found that is sturdy, roomy, and fits within the 62" maximum (no extra charge) plane limitations. This trunk is a great replacement for less travel-friendly standard luggage. Price-to-quality is a great value and it works for me. I highly recommend this trunk, specially if the purpose is to take it as your airliner luggage.

I already have 3 of these units and now received 2 more. These are great. They are withing airline SIZE regulations (obviously airline weight regs can be an issue if you pack them full of heavy stuff). A quick zip tie or caribiner through the padlock hole allows TSA to inspect if needed but also serves as a secondary latch if the clasps come open during rough baggage handling (a quick wrap of packaging tape or Duct tape over the latches helps keep them latched down as well). I have never had issue with them coming open. They are also handy for storage around the house. I just built a closet under the stairs with cubby holes special size for these (thats why I needed five of them). The only down side is the don't have wheels but most trunks with wheels weigh alot empty or exceed airline and postal regulations for size.

I bought two of these in Kuwait, loaded them up and mailed them to the US and they arrived in great shape. They've made the trip between Denver and Kuwait twice. United Airlines did manage to break one of the latches. Then back to Denver on Etihad Airways to Abu Dhabi. Next week, back to Denver for a month then back to Abu Dhabi.I'm ordering another one to replace the one with the broken latch.

Purchased for son for Scout camp, already planning a second one for myself, and hey- Other Scout parents purchased also.

Loved the size of this trunk, held all my products snugly and was able to lock shut the first time around. Only bummer was that after purchasing this trunk I got a catalog with a lager sized trunk on sale, better luck next time around. Thinking I will stock up on more of these in the near future, far so good.

I am using this trunk to pack personal items as airline luggage for overseas travel, as the product description clearly read: "meets airline requirements." Within the first twenty minutes of having the product out of the box, the grommet that holds one of the latches in place popped off. What a disappointment! Unfortunately my flight is too soon to try to negotiate a return or replacement. So I just repaired it myself with a small bolt. But, honestly, this should have been unnecessary.

lots and lots of storage room. would rather have gotten one with wheels. one of the hinges was bent but we fixed it

I bought this for my son and his roommate for their frat house bedroom. I added wheels to it so it could be easily moved and threw some of their college decals on it for a little bit of customization. It works great for storage, and with the wheels, it raised it high enough for them to use it as a coffee table too! He said they eat a lot of their meals there.
