No assembly required - just open the package and let the kids start playing. We used these for a birthday party (along w some boas and the photo booth on the Mac laptop) - and the kids loved them! We let them take them home, but they held up very well (no breakage) during the 2 hour party.I was definitely recommend them.

These were so much fun. Some were so ridiculous they didn't work as masks and one was upside down, but worth the money.
