The velcro is strong on its second winter of use. The coat fits nicely, keeps my dog warm. Looks quite cute as it matches my husband's work Carhartt.

My dog loves it. The size guide is pretty accurate. I can throw it in the washer with no worries. Its standing up great to my dogs shenanigans. There isn't any protection for the belly area. Easy to put on. Velcro is strong. He can run with it on. It makes my dog look like a professional.

Absolutely love this jacket, it’s great quality and super easy to put on i got the biggest size for my 90 lb doberman it fits great and hes got room to grow. i was so worried about the winter months with him having so little fur and body fat but this keeps him warm and protected and the orange is extremely vibrant. not to mention hes able to play as crazy as he wants and i dont have to worry about him peeing on it when he uses the bathroom cause yes that was absolutely a worry of mine 😅

I am so impressed with the Carhartt Firm Duck Insulated Dog Chore Coat! The army green/brass color is stylish and rugged, just like the Carhartt brand. The coat fits my medium-sized dog perfectly, offering a comfortable and snug fit without being too tight. The collar and pockets are stinkin cute. Quilted inside and canvas outer make it decently warm and durable for dogs that like to go deep in the bush. Some things to consider: -There’s no hole to latch a harness through. You could add one in with a sewing machine buttonhole function or just cut a hole and superglue the fabric layers together. Or, just rock the harness on the outside like we did. -if you’re between a medium and a large, pick large. I dug through all the reviews of the mediums on similarly sized dogs (mine is 40lbs and chest 24 inches for reference) and the mediums don’t cover the full back which defeats the purpose, in my opinion. The large fits decently, the straps are a bit loose but stayed on with the harness over it. I plan to add extra Velcro the keep them secure and prevent them getting snagged, but you could also just safety pin them. -The canvas is stiff initially, so the back floated up when he bent over to sniff. This I imagine will soften over time like carhartt coats. Overall awesome, looks adorable and does the job.

I got the small size for my Jack Russell Terrier. It fits him really well and he looks really good in it. Very easy to put on and take off. Stays in place (my lil guy has been running through bushes with it), quality is really really solid. It is a Chore coat, quilted on the inside. Warm enough by itself for fall, but as the temperature drops, I will have to pair it with some warm fleece on the inside. Have not tested it in a lot of rain, but it is decently water resistant, just like any other waxed cotton jacket. The material is the same as what we would expect in a men's chore coat. The buttons are riveted and are really solid (not flimsy). The stitching is on point and really good. The Velcro is solid and adjustable with plenty of room to accommodate a layer or two of fleece underneath. Absolutely worth buying.

This jacket is great for my Boxer. It’s very well made with the same high quality materials used for Carhartt jackets for people. It’s so easy to slip on and take off. It’s easy to clean and has handy pockets for a short leash or bags. Does a great job keeping him dry when it’s raining too. And it doesn’t hinder him from running around like boxers do. Also doesn’t hinder him at all when he needs to relieve himself in any way. Barney and I would honestly recommend this to anyone with a large breed dog in need of a great jacket that does everything it’s supposed to perfectly. Just keep in mind it’s a jacket and not a heavy winter coat. So if your pet needs a heavy coat for an extended time out in the snow you may look for something different. Have a blessed day!

Needed orange highly visible, weather resistant coats for our Shepard/Lab mix (100 lbs) and Lab/Pit mix (50 lbs) to wear daily while hiking during hunting season and in cold weather. So easy to put on the dogs. They line up to “get dressed”. On our second season with these coats and outside of a little sun bleaching, still fit perfect. No tears and Velcro on straps is still strong. Our big girl wore hers while hiking the Appalachian Trail for 2 months straight. Really protected her against cold, rain, & took on no damage from running through the brush. Will purchase again but don’t think the coats will need to be replaced for another year or two. We bought sizes XL and M for fit reference.

Easy fitting, looks stylish and amazing.

I purchased this coat for my 6 month old pup. I know he will grow out of it but he has short fur and I just want him to be warm while out on our winter walks. Having purchased a Carhartt coat for myself in the past, the quality of this coat was never in doubt. I absolutely love how he looks in it, he looks so comfy and unhindered by it. It’s very well made and It will withstand scrapes from the hedges and undergrowth while he’s exploring. It’s extremely easy to put on and remove. The pockets add to the aesthetic (I’ll maybe put an AirTag in the buttoned one) along with the corduroy collar which takes it to another level, it does attract hairs though so I brush it afterwards to remove the white hairs. Having felt underneath the coat after walking I can vouch that it’s keeping him warmer. If this was going to be his long term winter coat and not his puppy one, I’ve no doubt he would get a lifetime of wear out of it. I went with the chest measurement and the back length when I picked the size (M) for him. The sizing suggested his neck was on the smaller side according to the measurements chart so I’m glad I went with the chest measurement, because I think it’s a perfect fit, you can judge for yourself in the photo. The Velcro straps are excellent quality too and don’t come loose. I’m 100% happy with the materials the stitching the overall design, the colour and the collar adds a touch of class. I highly recommend this dog coat. It’s not waterproof but it copes with light showers well. Can’t recommend it enough. You will get compliments on it.

Unser Hund wiegt ca. 15kg und ist kniehoch. Er ist 10 Jahre alt und hat manchmal etwas Probleme mit der Rückenmuskulatur, so haben wir beschlossen ihm für die nun kälter werdenden Tage etwas Wärmeschutz für draußen zu kaufen. Da ich selbst auch gerne Carhartt trage lag die Entscheidung für diesen Dog coat nahe. Der einzige Nachteil ist die fehlende Möglichkeit ein Brustgeschirr unter dem Mantel anbringen zu können, man muss mangels Öffnungen das Geschirr über den Mantel anlegen, was nicht mehr so gut aussieht. Ansonsten mit Halsband bleibt die schicke Optik erhalten. Waschbar und danach wieder imprägnieren funktioniert einwandfrei. Wir man auf den Bildern sehen kann passt es prima zu unserer Fellnase. Qualität und Verarbeitung in Carhartt Manier, aber auch der Preis, doch was zählt der schon wenn es um den Hund geht.
