Hidden Side J.B.’s Ghost Lab 70418 Building Kit, Ghost Playset for 7+ Year Old Boys and Girls, Interactive Augmented Reality Playset (174 Pieces)

My kiddo lives the Hidden Side series by Lego! He is working to get the whole collection! This was another great set for him to build! Then he gets the AR experience with the app too which is fun for him to go ghost hunting!

My grandson is 8 it did not take him long to build but it did take me a while to load the game on my phone. He has an iPad but it was older and was not compatible with the game so just make sure if you are sending this to someone they can play the game. Also if possible I would recommend setting up the game on your tablet or phone in advance. The cool thing is I saw there were other games for other LEGO sets. I want to look at these to see if they are like this set or if they are just games for you phone. Over all he has a ton of legos and he loved this one too. He didnt seem enthusiastic about it at first like when I give him the 3 in one LEGO sets or the Ninja sets but once he started to assemble and saw a ghost dog that is half white and half clear, the beaker, mad scientist head and the pizza he said omg look at this etc. A+++. Now considering buying the remaining sets. In seeing recent reviews I wanted to say....my phone I downloaded the LEGO game with is 3years old. Samsung S7 Edge. I did have to delete a few apps I was not using for space but it worked fine on my 3 year old phone.

Cute, quick, little build. Added it to my Halloween Lego sets and they all looked great together as Halloween decoration. Not interested in the mystery aspect of this set but it’s a perfect addition to other scary Lego sets.

The Hidden Side is a new paranormal based Lego series that debuted last week accompanied with an app! This was definitely on my radar when it was announced at NY Toyfair 2019 and when sets where available I found JB’s ghost lab at a solid price. It’s a fantastic set! Recommended for the paranormal fan like myself.

These are super fun. Basic lego assembly but the after part is neat. You have to download the hidden side lego app and then a story unfolds. Very cool.

This was AMAZING! My 8year old really loved it. I wish I would have taken photos after he finished building it. We put it on his LEGO display shelf and it looked really nice. As to be expected, the creation is now dismantled and all the pieces are mixed in with all the other pieces. It’s sheer madness, I don’t even try to keep it organized anymore. But this was a great buy, I’m glad I decided to get it. Great Christmas gift!

For being a smaller set, it was a really fun build. There's lots of play opportunity even without the mobile app.
