Pete the Cat: Five Little Pumpkins: A Halloween Book for Kids

Such a great holiday book! We love Pete the Cat and all of James Dean’s illustrations! An we love how there’s usually a song to go with the book!

I bought this for my kids at work who are ages 1.5-2.5 and they adore it! They have had an obsession with Pete AND the pumpkin song, so this was perfect! The hard cover helps keep the book nice and it appears high quality. I believe this book will last awhile.

My granddaughter will be six in February and she loves the Pete the cat books. She always brings me one to read her and to read with her ❤️

I see a lot of other reviewers complaining about the length of the book.. however, I found it to be a perfect length for my 3 year old. He was able to stay interested in it and finish the story before getting distracted and moving onto something else. So for my child this was the perfect length book. Great illustrations and it's a fun little story about Halloween with the popular Pete the Cat. If you are looking for a longer book that an older child can enjoy reading, then this isn't the book for you. I would recommend this book for younger children, who are being read to, or for the beginner readers, as it is simple enough that they can read it.

Pete is ready for Halloween. He has a costume and five pumpkin friends who are also ready for Halloween. Each is unique just as Pete the cat is.

Nice hardcover book with paper pages. We love the bright primary colors. The text is simply the lyrics of “Five Little Pumpkins.” So, while it’s not educational in the sense of having a plot with a moral to the story, it is educational in the sense that the artwork provides plenty to talk about with your child and, of course, counting to five. It is a fun seasonal book!

We've read this book (and recited the poem - from memory - several car rides!) Every Halloween since my now-Preschooler was 2. It's a favorite. We add hand motions and clapping. The Pete the Cat illustrations are of course adorable. There was a waiting list at the library for the actual book this year, so I didn't give it a second thought to purchase through the kindle app. Now my four year old "reads" it to himself on his tablet. Very sweet memories. :)

Love this Pete the Cat based on the classic poem! So fun!

A well presented book. Good quality. A bit too simple and not much story. However you can find things to talk about in the pictures.

This book is great for my kids and my Kindergartwn class. You can also tie a long a STEM challenge and have kids make their own gate for five little pumpkins.

Shockingly bad, clearly just a cash in by the author/ publisher there is no story there are hardly any words compared to other Pete the cat books this is woeful, I wish I had flicked through it before giving it to my daughter because I would've returned it instantly

It’s very high quality and absolutely perfect. My son takes this book everywhere with him.
