Nice!! Fun to use!!

Item arrived great and as expected

This is a nice little iron for the price. It gets hot enough to do my wood burning but I am giving it only 4 stars because the cord is super short. I am new to the wood burning hobby so maybe short cords are used. Also the instructions are not very clear about how to change out to the tips. But does seem to be a nice little iron for someone who is just starting out.

I purchased this wood burner kit to use on some craft items in December 2022. I tried to burn some lettering in some scrap wood that I had left over from my project wood. I felt like the iron was not getting hot enough to burn the wood quick enough. I have used different types and brands in the past, but do not in any way consider myself as an expert in wood burning. I do know from my other wood working the type of the wood makes a good bit of difference in routing, carving or boring compared to the tools and quality of tools you are using. I was in a crunch with time for Christmas giving so I had to abandon my wood burning plans. I will try this unit again when time permits to see if I can improve the wood burning. So for me, I am on the fence right now with this kit, so maybe a three star overall rating is where I am currently. I will try to update later. Thanks

Value for the money

I bought this product because it showed such high ratings, was on multiple lists as a good buy, and was inexpensive. Obviously something is fishy with the ratings and lists, though I can't prove it. But this product is extraordinarily cheaply made, far beyond the average poor quality for cheap foreign products.The main heating arm is flimsy and will likely only last through a couple of small projects. The threaded burning tips keep coming loose as you work, and the part where you thread them into bent almost immediately. The rubber handhold that is supposed to protect your hand from the heat only does so nominally, and I had to keep setting it down to give my hand a break from the heat. The temperature dial is extremely small and difficult to turn with normal sized fingers, and the text on it requires a magnifying glass to read.The instructions consist of such lively and helpful content as, "Pyrography is a traditional folk art, which is rooted in the folk and shows the intelligent of the working people[sic]," and, "The sponge is squeezable objects and will be breathable up in water[sic]." Note that there is no sponge.Even if you don't have the money for a more expensive model, do not buy this product unless you only need it for one or two minor projects and accuracy and quality are not critical. And if you do buy this product, don't expect it to last very long.Highly disappointed. Terrible, terrible product. I will never buy from this company again.

I have no clue on how to gauge a wood burning pen but my fiance loves it! Pen tips and stencils were packaged, the pen itself was not but it doesn't look used or broken. Works great. My fiance really likes that you can adjust the heat setting and it's not just on or off 👍 I also got him some craft wood pieces to practice on so he's enjoying his quarentine lol
