this is a good rod and reel combo for under $100 I caught a big crappie and 11 bass within the 2 days i went fishing never broke even when it bent really far down.

First bait caster I've ever owned, and my first time back fishing after a 20 year break. I purchased the combo, and this reel is awesome. Very user friendly, after 20 min on the water and a little tweaking with adjustments i had no problems at all. The backlash i did get while learning was small enough to be worked out. Great reel!

Good bait caster. It’s worth what I paid. Just as good as my more expensive bait casters. It can be adjusted so anyone can use it. Good long casts.

The pole broke while trying to catch a fish. Only two month old.

This item is amazing for the price! I might suggest getting a new Rod down the road. But out of the box this is great! Works really well, the reel is spectacular. Getting the combo over getting just the reel is worth every penny! I have 10lb mono on this and it is slaying big bass.

rod and reel are great the rod is a little to flexible for me but the reel backlashed a little at the beginning then i got the hang of it reel cast insanely far with 20lbs braid like i said great for the price

This pole does everything you need it to do for learning and using a bait caster. Easy Combo learn and teach on with the brake system to set the most comfortable weight to your reel so you get the best chance of getting that 13 pounder in the boat!!

Is it me or does the rings not look correct. Can anyone chime in and help me out. The combo just arrived and upon opening, noticed that the loops weren't all in the same direction. This is a gift and I need to make sure.

Have used this rod and reel a few times now. Once you get it adjusted properly it’s great. Caught a bunch of fish already. Wish it was a 2 piece but that’s minor.

The reel is excellent. My 1st bait caster. Once the settings are done bird nests are minimal
