Highly recommended for effectiveness and comfort.
My doctor recommended this fantastic cushion to eliminate my bedsores caused by my wheelchair. The bedsores are gone and have not returned. Several people have asked about this cushion and have purchased it with results similar to mine. This is the most effective and comfortable cushion I have ever used!

What a relief!
This cushion been a huge blessing. I’ve had sciatic pain for years and it’s been getting much worse lately. I’ve bought and returned several orthopedic cushions as they were all just so hard, and they all dug uncomfortably into the backs of my thighs and cut off circulation, even those contoured specifically to prevent this. I finally gave up on orthopedic and memory foam cushions and just focused on something soft and cushy, and after researching egg crate foam cushions settled on this one as it had the fewest critical reviews and a good price. I’m sure I will find it’s far from perfect, but I’ve used it on a hard kitchen chair and on my recliner and I can almost forget I’m sitting. I’m a recliner sleeper so a butt-friendly seat is critical. Ordered another one so I don’t have to keep carrying this one up and down the stairs. It’s such a relief to finally have found something it doesn’t hurt to sit on.It’s cut rather crookedly and looks as if it had a hangover, but my rear end doesn’t care. The second one is cut perfectly and looks very civilized.Found some very pretty covers for these: ASIN: B07DRH7V86, Set Of 4 Green Plant Throw Pillow Covers Decorative Cotton Linen Outdoor Cushion Cover Sofa Home Pillow Covers 18x18.

Excellent support. Have to get used to the height.
I have two pelvic fractures which make sitting rather uncomfortable, and the firmer and less flat the chair is, the worse it feels. Having gotten an egg crate mattress cover for my bed and having benefited greatly from the support and firmness level of it, I assumed that getting one for my office chair would be the perfect answer to make me sit comfortably on that seat.I am only partially right. Yes, it does give just the right amount of support: it cushions the firmness of the seat and it evens out the curve (the seat is somewhat contoured in a concave direction, which is very comfortable when you don't have fractures but acts to emphasize the curved surface when you do have fractures. So, that part is good. The only reservation I have is that, even the 3-inch unit, makes the chair a little high. This might not matter on other types of chairs but on a chair that rolls on wheels it is rather important that you be able to correctly gauge where you need to land. Also, I have the chair set as low as it will go and adding 3 inches to that is still a little high. The seat does not come with a cushion but would fit in a folded pillow case, which was my original plan. However, after trying it with and without, I opted to keep the pillow case off. This way, the foam tends to cling a little to the textured fabric upholstery of the office chair and doesn't fall off each time I get up.Since the cushion is meant to be used on a wheelchair (which has a smooth plasticized seat), I would suggest using a piece of that non-slip plastic sheeting (also used to line shelves) so that it stays put when maneuvering off the chair. There's nothing more unsettling than trying to coordinate getting off a rolling object with a cushion that is also wanting to go in another direction. On the whole, I do recommend this cushion. I've now been sitting for over an hour at my office chair. This is a feat that I had not been able to comfortably achieve with either my gel cushion or (even less) my memory foam cushion. For prolonged sitting, this seems to be the way to go.

Exactly what I've been looking for!
I purchased the 4-inch thick model, and it seems to be exactly what I've been looking for!Its very supportive, distributes pressure very well and it does not to compress/flatten after sitting on it for a few hours like many other cushions I've tried. I'm also happy to see it is Made In USA. I'm hoping it lasts a reasonable amount of time before losing it's 'supportiveness', time will tell but it seems pretty durable.

Works as needed - good choice
I got this pad for my elderly dad. He sits in a recliner A LOT and his doctor recommended this type of pad to prevent skin sores. The pad fits his recliner perfectly. We do not have a cover on it and it has shown no wear yet. It feels pretty durable. The thickness seems just right. It's not so thick that he sinks way down, nor does it make it more difficult for him to get out the the chair.Overall, the pad is functioning as needed.

Good for osteoporosis, sore pressure points, and sitting bones
Senior review here. This works best on concave or soft seats. Still too hard on flat hard surfaces, as sitting bones will hurt. Colo-rectal doctor told me not to use donut-style cushions for hemorrhoids. Wish I had the money I wasted on those. They caused sitting bone sores. I carry this everywhere and use a small, thin, soft baby blanket as a cover. Bought the 4" without cover, weigh 130 lbs. Very impressed so also decided to buy a bed-sized, 3" egg crate pad to supplement a double-thick mattress pad.

At last...
Purchased this for my mother to use when she goes for dialysis. I have bought countless pillows since she started dialysis several years ago. All of the patients complain about the chairs, but it's worse for Mom because she is extremely thin now and has no natural cushion of her own. She described a fellow patients pillow to me that he said he bought at Walmart. I couldn't find it there, but her description helped me find this one. I sent her a picture and she confirmed this was the one. Hope this helps anyone else trying to bring comfort to a loved one.

Finally a comfortable cushion.
Injured my coccyx. Tried a horseshoe cushion. Sent it back. Found it uncomfortable and the material put out a bad odor. Then ordered an egg crate cushion - too thick and hard and more expensive. Finally chose this cushion. Perfect. I weigh 150 lbs.
