I bought this because my right thumb started triggering several months ago. I braid fleece dog leashes and tug toys, and I also hand sew dog collars. Those activities seem to be the culprit. This unit is sufficiently powerful enough to penetrate the tissue around my thumb joint. I use it on the highest setting for 15 minutes at a time. My husband also used it on the bottom of his foot for a painful toe joint and he is now able to walk 18 holes of golf again.

I was happy to find this miracle machine online. I used to get ultrasound treatments at a physical therapist's office for my neck and shoulder pain. I always thought it worked great so I starting researching how to buy my own unit. This is a nice compact unit that you can take anywhere. I mainly use it on my trapezius muscles that run along the back of the shoulders and neck, which get tight from sitting at the computer. It helps relax the muscle. I can definitely feel the benefit. I also use it on the muscles above my knees. Note: Sometimes you can feel a little ache in the muscle after using the unit. It doesn't last long. I remember feeling this sensation when I received treatments from a PT.Make sure to read the instructions! It took me a few tries before I knew that I was using it right. First, it has to heat up for three minutes. The unit flashes five times when it's ready. You have to use a generous amount of gel for it to work properly. Without enough gel, the head will stick to the skin and not glide along like it's supposed to and the time indicator lights will flash. Just reapply and keep going.

I have had my chiropractor use a similar device to loosen muscle tension. I was excited to see this device had promise. However, it is not as effective as professional ones. I had to return this, unfortunately.

My left shoulder and left side of my neck are really stiff and this thing loosened up those muscles for me.It's easy to use and the instructions were easy to follow. Be sure you read all the cautions in the booklet so you know where not to use ultrasound.

Haven't been able to use the product, since the package had been opened and the power cord was missing! So now i have to wait another 2 days for another one which hopefully will have all of the parts and meet my operating expectations.
