Famous Cherry Butter by Brownwood Acres, A Northern Michigan Favorite! (11 Ounce)

Forty three years ago I worked as a busboy at the restaurant at Brownwood Acres. I was 13. Getting to work meant riding a moped twenty five miles over some pretty hilly terrain. It was the best job a kid could ever want. The pay was good, but the food perks were even better. One of the most memorable of those perks is this Cherry Butter. Part of the routine for feeding guests was a thing we called "roll 'em and bowl 'em" - which meant bringing a basket of warm biscuits and some cherry butter, along with a chilled bowl for their salad. I'll never be able to replicate the amazing biscuits, but did find a "7-Up Biscuit" recipe that comes close. Regardless, any warm biscuit with a spoonful of this magical cherry butter instantly fills the soul with magnificent memories of a great summer, a great restaurant, and all the beauty of Northern Michigan. Get some, taste some - and let yourself be reminded of all the good things in life.

We have been using this product for years and it never disappoints. Use it on toast, English muffins,crepes or our family reciple egg pancakes. We just received a package and to our pleasant surpirise it was packed with degrading pellets in fact in one rain they were gone. I Ivery much dislike the use of syrofoam packaging so this was a definite added bonus. If you haven't tried this product you are missing out and should treat yourself by trying it.

This stuff is the tastiest! Try it on a toasted english muffin for breakfast and you will be delighted and hooked forever.

I am searching for a replacement for a cherry butter that was discontinued.....this won't be it. When I read "butter" I expected it to be thicker than jelly. It is very thin and runny. I was hoping for a rich, slow cooked flavor, but this is really sweet and basic. I wanted to love this!

If I could give this stuff more than five stars, I would!
