Perfect first telescope!
First telescope. Easy to set up and use. Sturdy tripod and body. Also looks cool as a feature in our home. Great views of the moon; even able to see Jupiter and Saturn with included lenses. Great value for the money. Love it! We did have an issue with a stripped screw on the mirror near the lens. Gksyer was quick to respond to my service request and send a replacement.

Great First Telescope for Total Beginners (Like Me!)
I’m completely new to stargazing—before this, the closest I got was pointing my spotting scope at the moon and hoping for the best. After poking around online for something simple but not “toy-like,” I landed on this Gskyer 600x90mm telescope, and honestly, I’m really glad I did. First off, putting it together was way easier than I expected. The manual actually made sense (a rare miracle), and within a short time I had everything assembled. The 90mm aperture and 600mm focal length might sound like numbers only pros care about, but even as a newbie, I can say the images look clear and sharp. The two eyepieces (10mm and 25mm) plus the 3X Barlow lens give you options to experiment with magnification. Switching them out takes seconds, which is great when you're still learning what you’re doing. As for the viewing experience: pretty awesome for a beginner. I’ve used it for mountain and treetop views during the day, and at night I’ve been able to see the moon in really nice detail. I even caught a glimpse of Jupiter and its moons, which felt like a tiny personal victory. The only downside is the tripod. It’s definitely kid-height. I’m not tall and even I noticed it sits low. It still works, but if you’re on the taller side, you might find yourself crouching like you dropped your keys. I ended up attaching the scope to an old photography tripod I had lying around, and that fixed the issue instantly. All in all, this telescope has been a great start for someone who’s just dipping their toes into astronomy. Easy to use, beginner-friendly, and gives impressive views for the price. Would absolutely recommend for anyone curious about the night sky!

A great tool for scientific education, need an equatorial mount for professionals
I ordered the telescope well in advance for the event of super blood wolf moon eclipse early this year. Unfortunately, the weather on the day is cloudy. However, this telescope works well and the quality pretty much exceeded my expectation. I've operated real astronomical optical telescope worth millions of dollars when I did my intern in college years ago. At its very low magnification level, the image quality is comparable to this telescope when observing the moon. The major difference is in the stability of the support that at the maximum magnification with 5mm objective lens, the image of this telescope is a little bit shaking, but not a big dealer me after I put several rubber washers underneath the foot of the tripod to damping the vibration of the ground caused I assume by the furnace nearby. At low magnification with the 25 mm lens, the vibration is not an issue. It is a great tool to teach the kids as it can easily see the moon surface. It is too cold outside during the winter now that I can not stand in the cold for too long to try other planets. For that purpose, I think I might need to get an equatorial mount which may cost as much as this telescope. Again, this is a good demonstration the value of the telescope is well above its price. I am very happy with the choice and expecting the summer to come soon that I can operate all night. Another feature I appreciate very much the accessories comes together including a cellphone mount for showing-off on the social media and a Bluetooth remote shutter which works well with my android phone. It would be better it the DSLR camera adapter can be also included. I think it is great for scientific education and school teaching. For more professional usage, one would still need an equatorial mount.

Only problem was Alt backlash, viewing was very good.
Very nice beginner telescope... Tripod is excellent, as is aperture lens. I upgraded the finder scope to a red dot. The only problem was the non-geared (tension only) mount and constant Alt backlash. I upgraded to SV225 AltAz mount with fine tuning gears. Minor issue was the course focus adjustment. To prevent focal backlash be sure to tighten the thumbscrew on focuser. For the price this is a very good non-ED refractor scope.

Jerky movement
Too late to return but I tried everything. Finding a planet is difficult which is normal but when you find it and you try and track it, left-right is smooth but up-down is stiff and jerky no fine smooth movements and once you loose a planet it’s hard to find it quick, needs to be smooth ever so slight movement to any direction. It’s now a giant paper weight or I die of frustration.

It was easy to set up and comes with clear instructions. The image quality is impressive for the price — I could see the moon’s details and some planets too. The build feels sturdy and the German technology scope works smoothly. Perfect for anyone wanting to start exploring astronomy. Highly recommend!

This is a very high quality excellent telescope. I bought this for my boyfriend as a birthday gift, we have had so much fun looking at the moon, researching when we can see certain planets were we are, and looking at stars. It was great when the northern lights came to BC! (Canada) Definitely buy this if you’re looking for an affordable but high quality telescope.

This is a large unit even given that it is fairly easy to position with handles that you turn to adjust tension. My only issue is that it’s too short and when looking for stars and the moon I have to take a knee to see into the viewfinder. The stand itself extends but the viewfinder is low when pointing skyward

This is my first telescope so I'm just a begginner amateur type. I wanted something to observe the moon closer and better because until now I had been using a small ×24 hand telescope. In most cases if you want some quality you need to be ready to spend some money so I was looking for a mid of the range one and I went for this telescope. It didn't dissapoint, quite the opposite. It comes in a branded box all nicely and safely wrapped with all bits and pieces. The main body is big, bigger than it appears on the picture, about 60 to 70cm. This is serious stuff. The tripod is the proffesional type, solid stainless steel big diameter legs, all metal holder and scope body, heavy and robust, very stable not the usual plastic light ones you would find on the cheap scopes. The images of the moon are amazing. It just feels so great to be able to see so close. It comes with an A4 paper with photocolour step by step english instructions on how to assemble the whole thing, very straightforward. I love it. I am now looking forward to many nights of moon watching.

This telescope might be the most “high-end” product I had ever purchased from Amazon. My parents have loved astrology. Therefore, I had spent some unforgettable summers with them and learnt some basic concepts of astrology. Many years later, as I am now living far away from my hometown, I decided to own a telescope myself. This telescope is really like I dreamed one. The heavier weight shows its good quality and the size is wonderful to storage at my flat. It's fairly easy to set up and powerful enough to give excellent clear views of the major planets such as The Moon, Venus, and Mars at the first several times trials. I am definitely far from an astrological expert, but I am willing to learn more about it. After spent several days on the telescope and adjust different eyepieces for multiple sessions, I had found Mars’ s ice cap, Jupiter with its big red spot, and Saturn and its rings. I really enjoy the time using this telescope and have lots of fun to explore the starry sky. Very happy with this telescope and highly recommend!
