Hamster loves these. Eats 2 a day

Hamsters loooooooove these. They are gone quick when we put them in their cages. Great value. Look good has to stop my kids from eating them.

As someone else mentioned, if you order these (like any baking chip) in the summer then be prepared for most of the drops to be melted together. No worries for me since the drops are so large I had to break them into pieces to be small enough for my robo dwarf hamsters anyway. These drops have a sticky powdery quality to them which sticks to my fingers, which leads my hammies to smell my fingers and think "food! NOM!" It's a big downside for me because I used these as special taming treats when I first got my roborovski hamster sisters, to get the robos to come into my hand and learn to trust me, so it was really difficult to keep the treat residue off the rest of my hands so the girls wouldn't nibble on me. These are basically sugar & fat so they're really not great health wise, but I do think these are good as an occasional treat or as that special taming treat and recommend them for those reasons. Hey, I can't eat a blah fortified diet with no treats, and I personally can't expect my hamsters to, either. Since my robos are tame now and one of the sisters is getting a bit chubby (from me mistakenly giving her unrestricted access to millet sprays, she loves millet too much), I only use these yogurt drops to rub onto wood chew toys that the hammies aren't otherwise interested in - that sticky powdery residue of these drops comes in handy for this use. SIDENOTE: I also have the Kaytee Fiesta strawberry yogurt chips which the robos like just as well, and also leaves a residue on my yummy fingers, but the Kaytee chips have two kinds of partially hydrogenated oils in it as the 3rd & 4th ingredients in the list. Partially hydrogenated oils have trans fats which in humans makes our blood platelets sticky, leading to heart disease - no amount of trans fat is healthy for us humans. I don't know if it has the same effect in hamsters but I'd rather not find out. These Vitakraft drops use palm oil so they do not have trans fats, and I do prefer these Vitakraft drops for that reason.

They loved it and I’m glad the price is so cheap that way I’m not too upset over it arriving melted. That’s my only real issue with it but that’s probably cause it was hot. I just cooled it down and cut them up in smaller pieces for the hamsters. They love them so much!! They go crazy when I give them some, I swear they could smell it the moment I open the bag. I’m not sure about the size since it came melted but the texture is very nice, the color is so pretty and for the price, the size it comes with is great! So far so good and I’ll probably order more since my hamsters love them.
