You can fit it back into the carry bag!!!
This is a simple rescue Bivy for single use but the best part is that the sack/bag it comes in is large enough to remove it, ( who can resist looking at something new), refold it and get it back in. I even added some matches, vaseline Q tips, a knife and wax fire starters....they fit easily. Thank you for making a product that has a reasonable stuff sack!

Great Value for Money
We had to have them for several Scouting trips and certain Ultra Races require it. Small and travels well. Tried it to see how it does - great. Thankfully I have not had to call upon it in real life.

So good so far
I got this for my get home bag… it seems way more durable than the paper thin Mylar emergency blankets …

Compact, Lightweight, Quality Materials
Perfect for an emergency. It is much more compact and lightweight than a breathable bivvy. While a regular space blanket might be more versatile, in an emergency this bivvy is already set up and ready to use. Instead of wrapping yourself with a tarp and hoping there aren't any drafts or gaps for moisture or bugs to get in, a bivvy provides a much better seal.SOL makes much a more durable space material and so long as you don't poke it with any sharp objects, it should remain tear free (duct tape can always patch it up though). It has a built it whistle so in a true emergency, you have both a shelter and a means to signal for help. This green version is great for blending in to natural surroundings while the orange is better suited to survival/emergency use. I prefer the subdued green color for general use.

Lightweight addition to your pack
Bought this to use on hikes. I usually take the SOL blanket on overnight hikes but wanted to try this for day hikes to have in case of emergency. It comes in a nice pouch that amazingly enough I was able to get it back into. It is durable enough for repeated use and so much nicer than the less expensive ones. It is super lightweight so adding it to my pack for safety will not be a problem. I highly recommend carrying some sort of Mylar blanket or bivy when out hiking even on a day hike and this is a great option.

Invaluable if Needed
I had to use this after getting unexpectedly cold on a nighttime canoe trip. Although it didn't save my life, it sure made the situation better and allowed us to finish the trip.

If you can control moisture building up inside the Bivvy is very useful for keeping warm.
I use a lot of S.O.L. products. The Emergency Bivvy is a good product if used correctly. I find it is important to have a moisture barrier (i.e. clothes, sleeping bag liner, ect. to control moisture with this Bivvy. Sweating inside can be an issue.
