Professional Results at a Fraction of the Price - Just Learn How to Use Them
Flash photography is how you take your images to an entirely new level. Controlling the light, versus being at the mercy of the light, give you the ultimate ability to create and craft images your way. The Godox TT600 flash offers an extremely affordable entry into flash photography. More important, it offers professional level quality and features that cost thousands of dollars just a few short years ago. The unit not only works incredibly well as an on camera flash, it has the features and power that give any photographer access to multiple flash setups, variable lighting ratios, stroboscopic flash, and scalability over time at an affordable price. The key to getting the most out of this flash unit, or a system of these flashes, lies in learning how to properly use and control them. This was something that photographers just a few years ago had to do because automated technology and systems didn't exist. Photographers actually had to learn how to set the settings to get the results they wanted. This is also true of the Godox TT600 as part of a flash system. Using a single flash, along with one of the Godox on-camera controllers, it's possible to create an amazing variety of single light setups. Adding a second and third flash, you now have the ability to create complex multiple light setups used by advanced studio and portrait photographers. Need more powerful light? Group multiple flash units on the same channel and set them off at full power to triple the light output. Or reduce the power of each unit and take advantage of the quicker recycle time to have more light at a quicker rate. The unit is even capable, with certain cameras models, of achieving High Speed Sync at rates up to 1/8000th of a second opening up even greater creative options Add light modifiers like umbrellas, soft-boxes, and reflectors to expand the capability even more. Literally, for the price of a single studio flash unit, you can purchase 7-10 Godox TT600 units that are capable of doing everything and more than the studio unit. There are some downsides of course. The TT600 is not TTL compatible and so does not work with the cameras meter and computers to adjust the light automatically. The unit does not have a rechargeable battery pack so you will go through AA batteries, or spend a fair amount of time recharging batteries if you decide to go that route. The flash is also not capable of High Speed Sync when actually mounted to a camera (but this seems to be true even of the manufacturer brand units) All in all, this is possibly the best dollar for dollar value in flash/speedlight product available today.

Really Great Affordable Flash
While the TT685 is a TTL flash, the TT600 is all manual, making the display and functions much simpler. If you don’t need TTL, I think that’s a really good thing- the layout of the screen and menu is far easier to understand (the menu still takes a little effort to figure out because of the over simplicity of the abbreviations but it’s much better). The TT600 also still features the Multi mode for creative affects and it functions identically with the TT685. If you want to use it, just memorize the formula to figure out your shutter speed and other settings and you’re good to go. As an all manual flash, it also doesn’t feature an auto zoom feature to automatically match your focal length. The build quality is very satisfactory for a 3rd party flash at this price. The design is nearly identical to the TT685- a typical button and wheel layout on the back and twisting lock on the hot shoe. The head has full 360 rotation and from 90 to -7 degree vertical tilt. It can zoom from 24-200mm and 14mm with the wide panel. As I said with the TT685, a slightly more substantial rubber grip on the sides of the head or locking into position at some points would be nice but far from necessary. Most modifiers that attach solely to the flash head won’t be heavy enough to cause any problems with this, or they will attach in the lowest position anyway so the weight doesn’t matter. Up to about 1/4 power, the recycle time is near nonexistent, the same as the TT685. At half power and full power it is a bit slower to recycle compared to the TT685, but by no means too slow. It has a built in radio system making it compatible with the X1 transceiver and fitting in nicely with other Godox products. One of my favorite small features, the S1 and S2 optical trigger modes, are still available as well, allowing it to be used with any other flash or strobe even without a trigger. These settings need to be accessed through the menu unlike the TT685 where they can be turned on with the push of a button, but they are still there. The simpler menu makes this less of an issue as well. In terms of power output, it seems to have only slightly less power than the TT685, between 1/3 and 2/3 of a stop less in my tests. All in all, this is a very nice and affordable manual flash. In my experience this series of flashes is also very reliable. Unless you need TTL, I’d highly recommend this! The lack of TTL actually makes it compatible with multiple brands as well, so unlike the TT685 you can use one flash for Nikon or Canon etc. Enjoy!

Would recommend to any photographer
This has got a lot of power and I think it works great. The sink speed is very good. The durability is very good. The functionality is phenomenal and the size is good for a camera case.

Great quality and works perfect.

Great Value!
Good quality for the price. I like that the flash works with my existing godox trigger ecosystem. I thought the package was missing the H bracket/stand, but it was in a convenient pocket in the flash case. Works great with the X2T trigger I already had, is a great backup to my Canon Speedlite. (and honestly seems just as useful, maybe a little less build quality, but a LOT less price)

Useful for Me
Works as expected. Didn’t have much experience using a Speedlite but it was easy to set up and use. And came with a lot of useful accessories. Compatible with my Nikon D5600. And works for me as an amateur event photographer.

The cost of this is perfect for a beginner learning a wireless set up. The build quality seems quite durable. The flash is bright, and the sync speed seems to be spot on! The power of this little flash set up is overall quite nice!

Godox TT600 Kit Review The Godox TT600 Kit is a budget-friendly yet highly capable manual flash setup that offers excellent versatility for photographers who need off-camera lighting. This particular kit, which includes the Godox TT600 flash, a small softbox, a carrying case, color filters, and a stand mount, provides great value for both beginners and professionals looking for an affordable lighting solution. 1. Build Quality & Design The Godox TT600 has a solid plastic build that feels durable, comparable to more expensive flashes. The buttons are tactile, and the LCD display is easy to read, making manual adjustments straightforward. The kit accessories also maintain a decent build quality, though they are not premium-grade. Flash Unit (TT600) Guide Number: 60 (ISO 100, 200mm) Manual & Multi Modes: Full control over flash power High-Speed Sync (HSS) with Trigger: Works when paired with a compatible Godox transmitter Battery: Runs on 4 AA batteries Recycle Time: Around 2.6s at full power with fresh batteries The TT600 lacks TTL (Through-The-Lens) metering, meaning you must manually adjust flash power. However, it does offer optical and 2.4GHz wireless triggering, making it a great addition to a multi-light setup. 2. Performance The flash is reliable, powerful, and consistent in output. With a manual zoom range of 20-200mm, it provides flexibility in shaping light. The 1/1 to 1/128 power range, adjustable in 1/3 stops, gives precise control over light intensity. The wireless functionality works seamlessly with other Godox flashes and triggers (such as X1T, X2T, XPro), making it easy to integrate into a professional lighting setup. The HSS capability (when used with a Godox transmitter) is a significant advantage for outdoor shooting at fast shutter speeds. 3. Kit Accessories Softbox Small, collapsible softbox, ideal for softening direct flash output Works well for portraits, product photography, or fill light Size may limit use for full-body shots, but it’s great for close-up and headshots Case Compact and padded carrying case Enough space for the flash and the stand but not for the other accessories! Color Filters A set of gels Useful for balancing color temperature or adding creative effects Although they are quite useful, there are hard to store and in order to use them you need to glue the one of the accessories(not sure how it is called) to the flash, which I haven't done and won't recommend doing. Stand Mount A basic flash stand mount for attaching the TT600 to a light stand Sturdy enough but not as strong as dedicated metal brackets 4. Pros & Cons Pros ✔ Affordable and offers great value for money ✔ Powerful output with a guide number of 60 ✔ Wireless 2.4GHz triggering for off-camera use ✔ HSS capability with a Godox transmitter ✔ Includes useful accessories for immediate use ✔ Reliable and consistent performance Cons ✘ No TTL mode (fully manual flash) ✘ AA batteries instead of lithium-ion (slower recycle time compared to Godox V860III) ✘ Softbox is small, limiting its use for larger setups ✘ Plastic stand mount could be sturdier !!!! You cannot use the HSS (High Shutter Sync) since the mount is universal and in order to do so you need to buy a separate trigger compatible with the brand - I recommend the V1 or V2 - around 50$. 5. Who Is This Kit For? Beginners who want an affordable way to explore off-camera flash photography Portrait photographers looking for a small, portable light modifier Strobists needing a powerful manual flash for multi-light setups Event & wedding photographers using multiple Godox flashes for wireless triggering 6. Final Verdict The Godox TT600 Kit is a fantastic budget-friendly flash setup that provides a powerful, reliable, and versatile lighting option. The included accessories make it ready to use out of the box, though serious photographers might want to invest in a larger softbox or additional modifiers. Despite lacking TTL, it’s an excellent choice for manual flash users looking to step up their off-camera lighting game.

A beginner friendly flash for learning manual lighting. Works well as an on-camera flash and is great for portrait bounce lighting. Uses AA batteries, which are easy to replace, and the menus are straightforward once you get used to them. To use it off-camera, you need an additional adapter or trigger, but on-body it’s reliable and consistent. Great value for anyone starting to learn flash photography and manual lighting techniques.

Colis livré dans d'excellents délais. Émetteur récepteur fiable. Puissance satisfaisante. Le temps de recharge entre 2 éclairs est rapide. Il n'est pas TTL (tout automatique) c'est donc plus un flash pour amateur eclairé 😄. Mais pour le prix il est super et de bonne qualité.
