Definitely works for me.
First off it's annoyingly stinky. I always wear nitrile gloves.Second, I've seen a complaint like great now my bird pecks itself. And it kinda does sometimes after first putting on but soon figures out it's out.. Also I find them just looking at it, which one could possibly mistake it for pecking. You do need to keep at it. Once or twice a day usually. You slack once and there back at square starting one with bare skin.I suggest using it generously. And pay attention to your birds habits and adjust accordingly. They can give you directions for a good baseline but you need to tailor to your needs. Also like that it's purple. I've read that red skin attracts the attention of birds so this helps to combat that. Also aids in visibly seeing when more needs to be applied.Overall this has been my go to. Not much luck as no pick. I've debated trying Blu-kote which I'll eventually buy and try. Probably would have tried that first just because the ease of Aerosol application but didn't realize it could be used for feather picking. And be realistic there's no single application product for this. So going to take some work and commitment to work.Kind of a long review for suck an item but when you on the fence of what to buy it's nice to have info. So hope it helps someone!I've also come to like alot of the products from this company and keep them on hand.

Works but not for long.
I have a girl that was being picked on constantly where the others drew blood. I tried separating her for a few days (house hen) and then putting her back only to have her wound exposed again. I ended up ordering this based on reviews and I really wanted to love it. I thought it would be more sticky and dry hard but that’s not how it works. It’s more of a paste that will easily rub off. It did absolutely keep the others away for a bit because the smell is off putting but once it comes off it’s game on 🤦♀️. If the formula could be improved to dry harder it would be a 10/10!

Not sure yet
I used this on 1 hen to start, but it got rubbed of before very long. It goes far so it's a good value. It's a dark color so be careful getting on your clothes. Just in case. Doesn't smell bad. I will keep using it to see if it works better now that I put those aprons on after i applied the liquid. The aprons seem to work for keeping the others from pecking while the feathers grow back and keeps spurs from rubbing it off as well.

Didn’t work
This did not work for my chick. The smell is so strong and left me with a headache.

Exellent it works
The reason I gave it a 5 stars in taste is not because the taste is good lol you don't want it to taste good, you want it to taste bad so the chickens stop pecking and hurting each other and its exactly how it works, I saw 2 or 3 chickens giving it a try from the back of my already hurting chickens and the peckers did not like the flavor at all the started brushing their beaks against the floor to remove it and stopped pecking and hurting my hens :). Not only that but it also colors the skin and feathers purple making it unattractive for the culprits because chickens like pecking on red color and a bloody chicken is not good and becomes a dead chicken sooner or later so use this, it most likely save your hens. I have to apply it once a day with rubber gloves to avoid getting purple fingers, it does not come off washing your hands but if you shower it does comes off.
