I've been using Pure Encapsulations OptiFerin-C for 5 years now and it's been a great iron supplement. It's gentle on the stomach, has vitamin C to help with absorption, and it's clean — no gluten, GMOs, or unnecessary fillers. If you're vegan or can't tolerate animal-based products, this is one of the best options out there.That said, if you can take animal-based supplements, I personally think beef liver supplements are even better. They don’t just have iron — they also naturally come with a ton of other nutrients your body needs, like vitamin A, B12, B-complex, zinc, copper, selenium, and etc. All of it is in a whole-food, highly absorbable form.Still, OptiFerin-C is a solid pick if you're looking for a vegan or non-heme iron option that works. Very easy on the stomach. I take it every other day.. I am iron anemic & ADHD & my ADHD is far worse when my iron is low. Doctors don't seem to realize that constant low iron can cause ADHD systems to become worse & worse over a span of time. They really should have studied more about how vitamins & minerals can help or hinder the human physiology along with man-made medicine. That would be a more proper, productive & functional way to treat patients. This is the best iron I have taken thus far. My only gripe is that somehow the lid came off & being I carry it with me so I can take it the day I need to - the pills ended up all over the bottom of my backpack. Not sure how it b~became removed, since it's one of those childproof lids, guess my backpack figured it out?? 🙀

The gentlest iron supplement I have found. And I have tried a lot.Finding something that did not constipate and could still be taken regularly has been a search.I found this product a couple of years ago and have been using it steadily since.It’s not a real high dose, but seems to be very sufficient from my body. I can take one capsule daily and still function with regular bowel movements.The real great news is after steadily using for two years my doctor just ran my blood and my iron level is Good!After failing so many other combinations and brands, it’s great to have something easy to take, small capsule, minimal complications if any. Highly recommend if you need an iron supplement.

The pill is easy to sallow, but it cause constipation. That’s the only down fall

If you are tired of vitamin supplements which taste and smell of plastics and not at all of vitamins, here's a true one. I am so grateful for a supplement that works, and works well. After a lifetime of excellent iron levels, I now require iron and D3 just to keep me up and out of bed. The vitamin C is to help the iron work. I had only seen iron and C together previously as a prescription.

This type really helped elevate my daughter’s iron levels. Now she doesn’t have to take it as often. Less hair loss too!
