The clock has a matt gold finish, not too shinny. The size, design and details made this a perfect addition to the space above our mantle. We have received may compliments from our friends. Size is as advertised. Hanger at the top is discrete and blends into the design of the clock. Great design value.

I really like this clock. It is easy to put the battery in, keeps time well, and is quite fashionable for the price. Up close, you can tell it is not very expensive. (It's like a very thin metal that I imagine can be easily bent out of shape.) But from afar (like across the room) I think it makes a nice decorative statement. Also, it is great that the manufacturer includes two sets of hands for the clock - one pair is silver to match the rest of the clock, but the other is black in case you have trouble seeing the silver hands on top of the silver clock. You can choose one set or the other, as you prefer. The silver on silver is in fact hard to see, made worse by the fact that I have the clock on a white wall. This clock would look better and be more visible on a dark wall, but overall I am very happy with it.

It did have a very cheaply made arrows, or tickers, or whatever they're called, but the clock overall is good. Takes one Double A battery, and i got just the perfect size. Fit perfectly aesthetically.

I got on board the farmhouse style trend years ago (but in all honesty, I live in the country, in a farmhouse, and am surrounding by farm fields – so it is only fitting) but wanted to style my home in a more timeless manner - avoiding some of the trendy barnwood clock looks. I feel this clock is for the minimalist who wants to add some elegant, clean, timeless fashion to their home. There are interchangeable hands with this set that come in gold for a little "extra flare", but I stuck with the black. This clock is very lightweight, so no concern with hanging on the wall. As far as powering goes - one AA battery does the trick and lasts for quite some time. I get compliments all the time on this clock and love how it looks in our space!

I ended up returning this. I should not have ignored the reviews that it was flimsy. I could have looked past that since it was going to hang pretty high up. Unfortunately, it stopped telling time even with a brand new batter after about an hour. Don't waste your time or your money. There are other similar clocks at Target, Hobby Lobby and At Home. I went with a slightly smaller version from at Home and am pleased so far.

Clock runs well. Good addition to patio but the hanger and clock itself is not balanced. So from 9pm to 3pm is crooked.

I’ve read some of the negative reviews and that has not been my experience at all. The clock is well-made and yes, the hands are thin, but they have to be in order to move around the clock. If they were heavier the clock wouldn’t work. There was nothing to put together just install batteries and hang. It keeps good time, functions as it should, and looks great.

Purchased my clock Mid Sept and just put it up today. I really like it. Its matt finish suits my kitchen. It's made from a light metal so it was easy to put up. The hook that came with it was not appropriate as it is was white and plastic, I used a medium size black screw to ensure it was securely anchored. It has been keeping time since this morning. I am happy with this purchase.

I really like the way this clock looks up on the wall. It is effortless to hang and the material is light but not flimsy, making it perfect to hang. I was worried you would easily see the hanging bracket behind the 12 "XII" (which is something that would bother me) but it is not noticeable once it's up on the wall. Looks great!

Doesnt work. Love this clock so am so disappointed. Hands havent turned since i received it. Used good quality batteries (Duracell) but they overheat to the point they split open. Have never seen this before.
