I have this and the fabulous but heavier Honeywell North 75SCP100 Combination Gas and Vapor Cartridge (2-Pack) also purchase from Amazon. I find the North 7580P100 Particulate Cartridge (2-pack) much lighter the vapor combo blocks smells better. I use these filters with my half mask. The durable masks are given to hospital workers at TCID are called North 7700 respirators and they’re much more effective than N95 masks. Unlike N95 masks, which filter 95% of particles larger than 0.3 microns in diameter, the P100 cartridges used in the North 7700 masks at the Texas hospitals filter out 99.97% of particles. This is that filter.

Specifically use these for filtering playa dust / while at Burning Man. My partner is a singer and worries a lot about her lungs each year, and these have proven to be top notch.When you throw on two fresh cartridges, your breathing is *almost* natural (great airflow). It takes several days on playa (even with a few days of whiteout dust storm conditions like there have been the past few years) for them to really clog up and over time you'll notice they become a bit harder to breathe. Each year I bring 4x total (2x pairs) of these, and usually change out mid-week. For the burn: amazing.
