Good quality and improved ride even when lowered.
This is the 3rd progressive lowering kit I have done on my motorcycles forks. All 3 also received 1" shorter Ohlins or Progressive shocks. This one was done on a 2014 harley streetglide. It is possible to do this without removing the forks but it isn't real easy. I use a hook 9n the end of a coat hanger to get ahold of the springs and dampened to remove them from the top. It is not real easy to do but is possible. This will require some skill to install and possibly even some tools you may not have. The top caps on the forks need a quite large HEX/Allen key style tool. After loosening the pinch clamp I improvised and used the head of a bolt inserted into the cap and had 2 nuts jammed together as my large HEX to unscrew the caps. I replaced my fork oil with synthetic fork oil in 15wt. The good oil as well as the progressive spring kit make the bike have alot less dive when braking, especially when you have ridden on the highway in the summer and the fork oil thins out from heat. I honestly like the ride and handling of the bikes better with this kit over stock. I did one bike with the -1 setup and did one bike with the -2 setting and the -2 bike really should get a -1 kickstand due to the lowering of the bike making it stand up straighter while it is parked.

A "dyna glide handling" with the comfort touring of an "Electra Glide."
Finally! I can feel in control on my 14 Electra Glide...3 weeks ago, I installed the Burly rear fork mounts that lowered the back by one inch. I suspected they helped a little bit, but in order to get the full effect of lowering the bike....I knew I had to drop the front of the bike by one inch as well. Thus I purchased the Progressive kit (1 inch). Today my mechanic installed the assembly, very expensive btw...not the kit, the installation. Book calls for 4 hours labor, so brace yourself, this isn't exactly cheap. But, I was considering trading in a perfectly wonderful Electra Glide to but a trike so I wouldn't need to worry about my 29" inseam being to short to handle the beast of 975 lbs. When I straddled the bike, it felt like I was on a Dyna glide of 25 in seat height! I mean the feeling was so much of a confidence boost. I took it out for a 75 mile jaunt of interstates and mountains full of twisties. It was GREAT! If you are thinking of lowering your bike, believe me when I tell you that you won't get what you want until you drop the forks as well. Plus the bike is totally level again. I can now stand flat footed on the bike and actually be able to keep my legs out away from the hot exhaust as well. As for handling the twisties...never been better. It's like driving a souped up Dyna, with the weight and comfort of the best touring bike in the world. The Harley Davidson Electra Glide. I highly recommend this kit to anyone who has spongy shocks now. These are not actually progressive, as in tighter in the spring on one end, as opposed to more open on the other end. The springs are the same throughout, with a lot of lift to them. My mechanic calls them "non'progressive" shocks manufactured by Progressive Suspension Inc. Overall height drop was 1 inch front and back....Tomorrow, I am going to carve out some twisties on the Blue Ridge Parkway. (my favorite ride about 45 miles from where I live)

Missing parts
My kit showed up missing the PVC spacers and washers.

Bike handles better that it is lowered
Works well on my 2015 Road Glide. Lowered 2" since I have an oversized wheel. Bike handles better that it is lowered. Don't notice any difference in comfort or performance, which is good, thought it might be stiffer. Glad I purchased this. Recommended.

easy install for someone mechanically inclined and experienced
Quality product, easy install for someone mechanically inclined and experienced. Used this kit to lower the front of my 2014 SG Special 2" after replacing the stock front wheel with a 21". Now my bike handles like stock again. I went with the suggested 20wt fork oil, rides a little stiffer but not to bad. I'd probably go with 15wt in hindsight. Note: You will need special tools, do some research.

Always quality with progressive
Easy to install if you’ve done it before. I have put this, or a similar kit by progressive on each bike I’ve owned. Love how it stiffens up the forks and gets ride of the nose dive when you brake. I’d recommend this kit for sure.
