Awesome for play and learning!!
Love, love, love playfoam!!! I love that it never dries out, and it's less messy than playdough. As a school occupational therapist, I love using playfoam with my students. It's a great multi-sensory medium for play and learning. I love the durable letter cards that follow proper letter formation sequencing with arrows and numbers to help kids learn how to form letters. I can have my students use different colors to reinforce different parts of forming letters. The fun colors also are very appealing to my students...overall, a great product that is very popular with my students.

Playfoam is great, no mess
My favorite part of play foam is no mess and no drying out so we use again and again!! Bought this for my 4-year-old but all my kids love it! This is the second that I have purchased this year and will likely buy again!

Fun sensory toy -- buy separate storage containers
My 3.5 year old enjoyed playing with this, and it's a decent substitute for Play-Doh since he has celiac disease. My only qualm with this is that the picture makes it look like the container the foam comes in is a thicker plastic that would be good for continued storage -- but it's actually very thin/flimsy plastic. So far we've been able to keep using it to store the foam (~1 month) but I don't foresee it lasting very long.

Great learning fun!
We were so excited to test out Playfoam and the letter set. My 4 year old daughter is learning her alphabet and absolutely loves all things playdoh/slime related. We've had this set for over a month and she STILL is crazy about it. It combines learning and fun and I absolutely love the fact that the foam doesn't dry out!The set arrived right on time and was packaged great. The letters are on thick paper that very resilient and has held up to lots of fingers and activity for over a month. The foam was separated in a plastic container and is mostly mixed now but holding up perfectly. Definitely tossing out the playdoh and slime and only using playfoam from now on!

Not effective
I guess I had higher expectations for this. What I like most about this set would be the alphabet cards themselves. I like that they include the stroke order to writing the letters and a little illustration of something that begins with that letter in the corner of the card (queen for “Q”)However - the stroke order is somewhat lost in the process of using the floam to sculpt the letters. In fact the floam makes the whole process of using this set extremely frustrating for my 3yo because it is a bit unruly. I myself find it difficult to sculpt with. The foam balls shed out of the floam fairly easily, most likely due to its consistency. I appreciate that it is claims to “never dry out” but it is inherently dry and hard to work with because of the formula used. Overall the floam is fun to use on its own and the cards would be good to use under trace paper, or with regular play dough - rendering this particular set somewhat pointless.

This would make a great gift - it's fun AND educational!
My kiddo is a bit young for this yet, but I can't wait to bring it out when he's past the phase of putting everything in his mouth! I know I personally learn better if I can work through something or take a more hands-on approach vs. just listening or reading something. Not only will these flash cards help my little recognize letters, but it'll also teach him how to construct the letters which will help it sink in quicker for him. I LOVE interactive and educational - this is a win win.

Drier then I imagined - works well!
This stuff is great! My 3.5 year old loves working with it to shape letters. It’s very dry feeling (I was afraid it would be like slime or something). It’s also not super easy to mold - it takes some hand strength! It reminds me of thick compressible styrofoam or something.I wish it came in some sort of storage box or container, but I just put it all in a ziplock bag. Not sure how else you could store it.
