Brainstorm Toys Space Torch

The product is great but the price is ridonculous. I just bought this from hamleys on 11 Oct for 599 rupees. And it's selling here for Rs 1650 after 15% discount!! Update1: Ok, so I tried this out last night. The product is just fantastic! In a pitch dark room, my kid and I went on a galactic walk. The visual quality is stunning. There was a slide of the earth and it was breathtaking. Just a green-blue globe in the total darkness. Very movie like. Frankly, I didn't expect myself to be so awed with this. The torch has a cheap plastic feel to it but the projection is top notch. It projected really well upto 3 metres - bed to ceiling. The slider allows to focus but doesn't stay fixed due to cheap build quality. I had to use a scotch tape to fix it. There are 3 slide wheels, each with 8 slides. But not all slides are carefully chosen pictures/renditions. The astronaut pics, the earth, footprint on the moon, some planets and the galaxies are rendered well but some of the others are vague and don't use the black surrounding well. Ideally they should provide access to more related slides ... even if it means an additional purchase. Will post pics in additional update

Fue un regalo y me comentaron que gustó mucho. Aunque es muy pequeña, lo importante de este artículo es la proyección, la cual se ve muy bien.

Very cool! Similar to the view master we grew up with but even better. Smaller than expected but not an issue for us.

Fantastica, è esattamente quello che ci si aspetta se si leggono le informazioni prima di acquistare. Si tratta di una piccola torcia che ha lateralmente un meccanismo che permette di infilare le rotelline con le immagini. A seconda della distanza della superficie su cui si proietta può essere necessario mettere a fuoco ruotando la parte superiore della torcia (è molto semplice). Le immagini sono molto belle e varie (una rotellina ha più pianeta, una più galassie e una più foto di astronauti, navicelle e lanci. Molto carine davvero. Forse per un bambino di 1 anni è ancora troppo presto, per lui sono meglio le rotelline che hanno dei disegni di astronauti e pianeti, ma per bimbi più grandi è perfetto....e anche per gli adulti che si vogliono rilassare guardando lo spazio al buio :) P.S. Acquistato tramite Amazon Warehouse Deals, è perfetto.

Super torch. Small but that's good for young children, and nice and bright. Also good for older children for use just as a torch as it has got a bright light and is just blue without any 'childish' branding (11 year old happy to use it for a twilight at the museums event). The discs work really well too projecting lots of super images - they are very clear you just need to twist the white front of the torch to focus them. Went down very well with my boys and would definitely recommend, I even bought one to give a friend for a birthday gift (though in a different design) which I know she also loved. Perfect for toddlers to teens!
