After six months, this thing has a permanent place in the backpack
I have a labradoodle puppy who has grown to be three times the size he was when I bought this. It still works really well. It's nice and thick, but very light and easy for both of us to use. (I need to get a long lead of this material!) It goes on and off fast, and does restrain him pretty well. The only two small downsides are: (1) it will tighten and stay tight if you have to pull too much (this can be mitigated by stopping and easing it a bit after some epic struggle like a bunny shooting by); and (2) when the doodle's doo is too long, I have to be careful not to catch his fur between the rubber slide stopper and the rope (he has lost a few tufts to this). I think it would fit any size dog and because it's so light and so quick and easy to put on and take off, it's a very useful to take along. He chewed it once when we first got it, but it barely frayed it and did not do any structural damage. Excellent product (and the colors are so nice).Update 4/1/25: So many people ask me about this combo leash/harness. A client just stopped by my office because she had looked in every pet store and couldn't find anything like this. I sent her the link and thought I'd do an update. It's been almost two years I've had this leash and other than the small chew from when he was a pup, it still looks like new. It's simple to use and the material is soft and thick, but also lightweight. I have a huge collection of harnesses at this point and this one is one of the two I use. The other is a Blue-9 which I use when I want to be able to disconnect the leash but leave the harness on. However, if we find ourselves in a field or another opportunity to go off leash and we're using this combo harness, I just wrap it loosely around a second time and tuck the end through the loop again and off he goes. This also works for when you want a short leash in tricky situations. Oh yes, it also doesn't seem to stink like collars and harnesses! Can't imagine why not, but we live in the country and I have never washed this thing. I will post a photo. Still recommended!

Love love love this!
This leash as a harness has made a huge difference in my dog. She is a Cardigan Welsh Corgi who is almost a year old. She loves people and would get very excited on walks when a person would come our way. She was lunging on her collar and normal harness. We of course continued to work on training but this harness has helped us tremendously with lunging, barking and eating things off the ground (surprisingly). She pulls a lot less and is checking in with me more on walks. The rope is thicker than I imagined and soft. It slides easily as a collar but can stay a bit tighter than I’d like on the harness part. However with her movement from walking it doesn’t stay snug for very long. I also love the length of it when using it like a harness. It has completely changed our walks instantly. It feels well made and durable but I’m unsure how it would hold up with a much bigger dog.

Worth every penny!
10/10 The greatest leash/harness of all time. It is escape proof and gives you excellent control of ANY dog breed. I walk dogs for a living and this harness is superb 👌🏼

Works great especially during training
This harness works great. The instructions are easy to follow, but you need to also practice. Other harnesses I have bought say they are escape proof but that's not always true especially when the dog is pulling backwards. This harness, whether it's a forward or backward pull, it keeps the dog from breaking loose. Great for use while I work on training my sheperd-lab mix.

Neat Idea But Not for Us
Very well made and a great idea, very ingenious. However, I know it doesn't say this, but I thought the small size would be a lighter weight rope, but it's not. The first thing I noticed when I pulled it out of the package was how heavy it is, and the rope is quite thick and hefty. My dog is just under 15 pounds. I read more than one review from a chihuahua owner which led me to believe this was sized for smaller breeds, not just in length, but not so. I realize this is my own misunderstanding, just giving you a heads up. I can't even imagine a chihuahua wearing this thing, but apparently some do.I gave it a whirl anyway. For me, it's actually trickier to get on than the step-in harness we have been using. My dog kept trying to bite it as I tried to put it on her, which does not usually happen with our regular harness and leash. I imagine that would get better.Tried actually walking her with it and she still pulled. If anything, at one point she smelled something interesting and braced her legs against the ground harder than ever. So, no improvement on that front. It's marketed as escape-proof but the instructions do have a disclaimer, sorry I don't remember what it said exactly, something about not allowing slack somewhere. I sometimes pick my dog up to avoid an unpleasant doggie encounter and she has managed to slip out of her regular harness while being held (and squirming). I was afraid something similar might be possible with the Harness Lead.I can see where this can be a great option for dog shelters or multiple pet owners because it's easily adjustable to fit different sizes of dogs.

Great leash for my puller
I have a 70 lb GSP and his nose takes him in all directions. He’s never been good on a leash and we’ve tried a bunch of other options out (prong collar, gentle leader, harness). This leash has been the best one by far. It’s thick and durable, the fit is perfect, it’s not as restricting, I don’t feel like I’m choking like I do with the prong collar and he doesn’t wrapped in the leash like he does with the gentle leader. This is a win so far.

You should buy this
I didn't think anything would stop our golden puppy (9 months) from pulling. He tugged on his harness so hard I thought he was going to pull my shoulder out of its socket. With this he was IMMEDIATELY a proper walker. As soon as he felt the pressure from pulling he slowed down and walked like a gentleman. This was an absolute game changer for us. It's a little awkward the first time figuring out how to strap him in, but man was it worth it. Great product.
