Decopolitan Urn Telescoping Double Drapery Rod Set, 72-144", Antique Silver

We have a window behind our bed, and I wanted to put up a huge double drape behind the headboard to make the window disappear. These are elegant and beautiful and look wonderful with our new curtains. Very easy to install, very sturdy, and they look great.

For the money, you won’t find better. The double rod and long span (12’) made dressing my living room windows easy and helped create a functional and attractive window covering. The only downside is the finish. These feel like aluminum rods but they are coated to look like a brushed silver and the finish is reminiscent of silver metallic spray paint. It will easily scratch so you have to be very careful during install. Other than that, I have no complaints.

This rod set provides a fairly sturdy option for medium weight curtains and draperies. Unless excessive force is used when opening the window treatments, they are durable enough to last many years. The finish appears to be resilient and the look is pleasing. Approximately 2 inches in diameter at their greatest width, the finials are not large. They are just as pictured in the illustration. Keep in mind that the rod diameter is half that at 1 inch. If something dramatic is required, this may not be the best option. The price is a little high for the look in my opinion, hence I rated it at 4 stars, however it's less than offerings I've seen in brick and mortar stores, though the look they afford may be a bit more impressive. Since I wanted something that had a sleek look without being pretentious, this options works well for me and the price is somewhat more agreeable. Installation is quite straightforward as long as there is something solid behind the wall to hold the screws securely, or insert the enclosed plastic hangers into oversized drill holes. Also, if you need to install over windows in a corner of your room, just remove the finials from the apposing ends making certain that you place the hangers close enough to the corner taking care to properly appose one rod end to the other rod while leveling the horizontal positioning of the rods respective to each other and you don't need to purchase a rod assembly that curves around the corner, which are usually very expensive. Just bring the draperies close to each other and the rod ends will be obscured by the fabric. Because of the width of my windows and two situations in which the windows oppose each appose each other at corners of the room, I was able to order one 72-144-inch and two each 36-72-inch rod assemblies for installation over one 90-inch windows and three 54-inch windows - that's 3 rod assemblies for 4 windows. I just cut the various rod segments to traverse the length of the windows involved being conservative to allow for slightly more than what I felt would be minimally required for unit strength and then I used the finials removed for the apposing corners to provide for the additional rod assemblies, thus saving myself the cost of one additional 36-72-inch rod unit. Each rod assembly comes with 3 support brackets, however a 54-inch run does not require a middle support, so that freed up the middle support from the two smaller rod units with which to provide for the additional 54-inch run. There was enough telescoping rod material to accommodate up to around a 100-inch run and three 60-inch runs if your windows are slightly larger. If you run out, the worst case scenario is simply that you'll have to order another rod assembly of your chosen length - not such a terrible outcome. I would order this product again.

We had the single rod in our kitchen, it after our HOA remove some trees, I wanted a sheer curtain in addition to our other curtains for a little bit more privacy while allowing light to come in.I found this double rod that was identical to the other one, and since the single rod I’m the same line worked well, we ordered the double.The single rod was in great shape, so we moved it to another room, and we hung the double rod in our dining room area.We added better hardware that would allow the screws to go into the drywall deeper, and we added heavier duty drywall anchors, but the holes on the single rod matched up perfectly with the double rod. My husband d said he had to drill two extra holes, but the others lined up.It looks gorgeous with the sheer curtains on it, and I love that I still have the ability to close the semi-blackout curtains for more privacy and light/heat protection. I’m thinking about buying another set for my living room window.

I feel like I've got designer rods :). I got the silver double rod. They extend a lit if you n need. I had gotten grommet top blackout curtains.. I set the curtains holders about 6" from the window frame. It's perfect in the sense that I can pull the curtains all the way over and I don't lose any width of my windows to the curtains

Love the swirl at the ends, even though they can't be seen with my curtains hung. I did replace the larger finials to something more ornate. The only downside is having to take the back finial off and slide the back rod out if you need to add more sheers or to wash them. But that's not an every day thing, so I can live with it.

They were easy to install. The sturdiness is great for the curtains I have which are lightweight. So not sure how they would hold up to heavier curtains. Great price for what I was looking for.
