Well worth it
This file costs as much as a full set of tiny hobby files, but it does something that thos files don't: it can quickly and precisely remove metal nubs. That means better fitting seams in Metal Earth models. It also means that you won't demolish that $30 set of seat belts that came with your Revell BF-109 photoetch set. This file has enough flat, curved and thin spots that you can reach practically anything and it seems to work well on all sorts of material: wood, metal and plastic. For photoetch models and model parts there is a pretty high cost factor, both with material and tools (if you are going to do it right). A photoetch folder has proved necessary, as have the Xuron pliers and cutters. This file works perfectly as part of that team.

Another great value from Tamiya
I have used some real rubbish files and some real excellent files. I say that this is a great file. It is coarse enough (relatively speaking) to get the job done, yet fine enough to look as if you weren't there. Know what I mean? For photoetch super delicate stuff this is a very useful too. It also has a long rubber section on the handle for comfort. Easy to use. Works a treat. Quality stuff.

It's a file
Once again Tamiya has a decent offering for a hard to find tool. It'a a little pricey, but it works well on photo etched parts when you need to take a little off.

Excellent file and better than the cheaper files I have in my tool chest
File is perfect for taking the excess off the PE pieces cut from a fret. Sometimes I leave too much of material when I cut the piece and this file is really good for its removal. I bought it after it was recommended on a youtube video and I am glad that I did.

Excellent Fine Grit File
Makes quick work of cleaning up PE parts. It has a fine grit unlike other files. Lasts a very long time.
