Great way to stretch out your neck and relieve pain
I ordered this a few weeks ago for my husband who has been dealing with a lot of neck, back and shoulder pain lately. He has used it 3-4 times per week, and even convinced me to try it once or twice. I will admit, I was uncomfortable trying it out, but once I relaxed and stopped tensing up, it actually was very useful.Basically, you strap this ting around your neck while it is deflated, then you start pumping it full of air. As it inflates, it stretches out your neck, easing tension and relaxing your muscles (you have to breath through this process, otherwise you start to tense up and it becomes counterintuitive). Once it was inflated as much as I could stand, I would try to relax by watching a show or listening to some music. And every couple minutes I would add a couple more pumps of air. I probably wouldn't go more than 10-15 minutes at a time. Then, you release the air and help it deflate by pressing it together with your hands. And voila! Your neck will feel both relaxed and stretched out!As I said, my husband uses this a lot more than I do, and even he says this is a 5-star item. You will look kind of silly wearing it (so don't wear this out to the club), but it does what it says it will! Highly recommend for people looking to stretch out their neck and relieve pain.

Does not hold air - just over a month old! :(
Really like this for my cervical disc degeneration. It helps reduce or prevent my migraines. Please note that it will take you some time to determine the optimal placement of the velcro straps. Be patient. So far, I've found that its important to have the top and bottom straps at the same distance.I do find that at the fuller inflation (probably at or above recommendation), the core likely the velcro straps will become undone. This seems to be common for all the ones that I've used, so far.But this hasn't broken after a few uses like the less expensive ones. The slightly higher price is certainly worth it!Just be sure to give yourself time to let the air out slowly and not all in one stream, either. Give you neck time to adjust!EDITED November 12, 2019:Had this a little over a month. It no longer holds air. Reduced rating from 5 down to 1. Zero would be a better choice.

I had high hopes. They quickly died.
The media could not be loaded. With four layers versus the typical three that most compression and traction machines have, I had high hopes for this product but they quickly died and I watched my dreams of pain relief fade into oblivion. The price for this product is very economical, but the quality of the product is not well made. The Velcro is too short on the attaching side and tends to pull away from each other as you inflate the device more. This is the opposite of what you need for more traction. Stitching comes apart without much use as well. I do like the fact that this is made for people who have longer necks because of the four layers, but when used as intended, you end up getting a very uncomfortable traction that pushes your head down and neck forward. That's the opposite of what I need. I had to turn the device around to the opposite direction in order to actually get any relief. That's why I gave it three stars but in and of itself, this product is really only two stars. I can't recommend it because it wasn't very comfortable, it was cheaply made, and although the price was good, the product simply doesn't hold up to wear and tear nor does it provide enough relief. I'm really shocked for a four layer product to not be able to have a snug feel and expand further up.Good idea. Poor execution. Not recommended.

Great traction device!!
I read reviews for both the 3 level collars and four— seemed like this was the better choice. I’ve been wearing since I opened and I can honestly say I’m impressed. The velvety material is nice- and I’m not experiencing any of the Velcro issues some people describe. For anyone who ever felt like having some one pull up on your skull might help relieve the pain and tension in your neck, I think this will be a big help! Don’t try to fully inflate- just enough to where you can start to feel some lift in your skull. Otherwise you might injure yourself. Gradually increase inflation as tolerated just enough to feel relief. After wearing for 15 min or so, I think it loses a tad of the air, I just added another pump. The instructions didn’t make sense to me, but as a nurse I know how a manual BP cuff works so it wasn’t difficult to figure out. Just turn metal knob above inflation bulb all the way to the right to before inflating. Turn knob to left to allow air to release.

A very helpful, traction device!
I have tried the three tube devices and they do not have a capability to bring relief like this four tube device does. The important thing to remember is not to crank it to hard or it will begin to leak air after a while. My only complaint are the Velcro straps. They work but could use some improvement on how they are attached and be a little longer for better gripping. I can see that someone with a large neck might not find it comfortable to use. Bottom line is I have used several different devices for a herniated disc in my cervical area and this has helped me more than any of them.

Noticeably Better
I have used several cervical traction devices including other inflatable around the neck ones. This device was noticeably more efficient and provides level of traction that rivals in the office devices at chiropractic clinic. I don’t know if it is designed for my neck type in that it has four levels of inflation as well as being tighter and the Velcro type fasteners seem to grab and hold more so compared to other similar inflatable traction devices. I would say one word of caution. I am aware of the correct level of traction since I get this done often in a professional setting. This device is capable of providing up to the maximum level of traction and beyond. Know your limitations to avoid overdoing it.I think I may buy another one to be sure to have one in reserve as inflatables do suffer from wear & tear issues.

This Did What I Needed it to DO
I've only worn this for one hour and my neck and shoulders feel so much better. It feels like tension has been released off of the muscles in those areas. No joke, it worked for me almost immediately. I am wearing it at my desk now at work.
