Brain Games - Crime Scene Investigation (CSI) Puzzles

Fun puzzles, a good variety.

This book is great!! I'm teaching a Forensics elective to high school students this year and the puzzles in this book are exactly what I was looking for to get their minds moving! There are various puzzles in the book and many would be good for a "Do Now". There are things like "quick crime quiz" which have interesting questions like "Long before they were used to identify criminals, fingerprints were sometimes used to "sign" documents in lieu of a signature" (true/false). There are images of a crime scene that you can study and then turn the page and try to recall answers to questions about the scene. I was REALLY glad to find some logic puzzles with grids! I was primarily looking for a book that contained those type of puzzles that were crime themed! For example, there's one about who bought which kind of candy, how much they spent, and what their last names are - but the paragraph before the clues says "There was a robbery at the candy shop" so it's framed in a forensics type of scenario.

Fun for all the people that like to test their investigating skills.

This book was what I expected but it did have more word searches than I expected. I kept me occupied when I was bored so it was worth it.

I got this to use for warm ups in a high school forensic science class. We do the puzzle as a group and talk strategies. There are errors. There are puzzles that need a little more info to be solvable. The kids are used to me saying, “skip it”. There are a few nice puzzles but I’m not sure I’d buy it to use again.

I got several different Brain Games and I love them all. they do make you think and are fun to complete.
