Applause is set up for two to six players to answer movie trivia questions. The die is rolled, a player moves along the board and lands on a movie category. The player has to answer a question in that category. Occasionally, players miss a turn if they are "out for popcorn." There is also a movie "jail" on the board, which is called the Star Stumper. Release is determined by answering a Star Stumper question--sometimes easier said than done! In order to win, players attempt to fill in stars on a score pad. The first person to complete a score pad and can answer a Final Challenge question wins the game. A CD-ROM version is included for more fun for one or two players. Applause is great for movie lovers--perhaps less challenging for the film expert. --Sandy Hirsch
