| Directions | Give one softgel capsule per 20 pounds of your dog’s body weight daily or as directed by your veterinarian. The softgel capsules may be given by hand as a treat. If your dog refuses them at first, add them with your dog’s food, as some dogs need to get used to the texture of the gelatin capsule. The softgel capsules can also be punctured and the oil applied directly onto the dog’s food. |

Great Supplement for a Healthy Coat and More!
Welactin has made a noticeable difference in my dog’s overall health, especially her skin and coat! After just a few weeks of use, her fur is shinier, softer, and she’s not itching nearly as much. It’s reassuring to know this omega-3 supplement is veterinarian-recommended and made with high-quality ingredients. I really appreciate that the fish oil is sourced from wild-caught, cold-water fish—no mystery origins here. Plus, it supports more than just coat health. I feel good knowing it also helps with heart, kidney, brain, and immune function. It’s a well-rounded supplement that truly supports my dog’s overall wellness. Coming from Nutramax, a trusted name in pet health, I know I’m giving her something safe and effective. If you’re looking for a supplement backed by science and trusted by vets, I definitely recommend giving Welactin a try!

Dogs love these softgels and they seem effective
OMG this Nutramax Welactin Canine Softgels are a hit with my dogs. They love the taste and eat them straight with their regular kibble. I appreciate the omega-3 content, especially EPA and DHA, which support healthy skin and coat. The 120-count pack is convenient and lasts a good while.

Best product we found for dog allergies
I bought these for my pittie who was struggling with itchy paws. This was actually one of the last things I purchased but I think was the thing that helped the most. We give him 2 chews in his dinner and have noticed less redness, biting and itching since starting these. Continuing them until the summer to see if they continue to provide relief that lasts through allergy season.

Capsules all stuck together in one giant blob
Updated 11/2/24 - Nutramax never replied to my email, but I called them and explained the problem. They asked me to send my order info and some photos of the bottle (upside down), and they sent me a replacement bottle right away. This is a great product, and it helps my dog a lot. Amazon just apparently has a problem with storing it, since multiple people have had this issue. I'll be ordering from Chewy instead, but I recommend the product and appreciate their customer service. 9/25 - I've had good results with this product in the past, but just received a new bottle, and all of the capsules are stuck together in one giant blob. I can't get a single pill out of the bottle. Amazon says this item can't be returned or exchanged, so I tried emailing Nutramax directly to ask about a replacement. But they didn't bother responding. Disappointed at the company, the waste of money, and the loss of a good product for my dog's health (because I'm obviously not buying more). Bad experience all around.

Helped my dog with her itchy skin
My GSD has had allergies and itchy skin her entire life. For 6 years we have tried multiple daily prescriptions and steroid shots and antibiotics for the hot spots. We started using this product about 4 months ago and have completely stopped all medication and have had no hot spots. It honestly has been a game changer!

Good alternative to prescription meds for us
My long haired dog would get seasonal skin irritation and was so uncomfortable and scratching bad that I took him to the vet, who prescribed Apaquel to give as needed. Ive been giving Welactin soft gels (he takes 3 every day for his 60 lbs) for a little over 2 years and I haven’t had to use the prescription meds. My dog seems to like the smell and takes the soft gels readily. His coat is shinier and softer also.

Good concept but not appetizing for my pup.
I like the capsule idea. Usually my dog is not too picky about supplements. I have him on Chinese herbs that smell like wet dirt and he eats them without issue. However, this omega supplement he did not care for. He left it in the bottom of his food bowl every time. I even pierced it and squeezed it on his food to mix in and he became reluctant to eat. He’s a total chow-hound so this was odd behavior. The mint must be too overpowering or the capsule overall is not appealing. He does like fish oil supplements but not Welactin unfortunately. My vet has listened to my feedback and advised us to begin using another product. I told her I would bring the unused Welactin to my next appointment and she could use the remainder to offer samples so other owners aren’t wasting their money and I’m not wasting the supplement. I have no doubt it is good quality but the palatability is lacking.

My two dogs love their softgels and even my kids ask for them cause they think they taste yummy! My vet recommended them for my senior dog with join1t pain, and I saw an immediate improvement in his coat and behaviour so I started giving to my puppy as well. Great product, happy doggies

My dog takes them easily in his food. His skin seems to be improving. Does not smell like fish oil.
