I bought this to help me revive a laptop with a failed trackpad: I used this cable to plug a wired mouse into the computer to successfully kick start the recovery process.

This cable is of high quality. The gold plated connection, the "Space grey" colour matched my MacBook really well. However, USB 3.0 uses 2.4gz frequency. This causes issues with the Wi-Fi connection of the cable isn't properly isolated. So this cable/adaptor isn't suitable. It's great quality! Anything other then the latest MacBook I'm sure it's useable, but due to the design of MacBook Pro 2016, just buy the Belkin cables.
