Nicrew Legs Out Front- facing Carrier for dogs
I have only had this carrier for a week. So l cannot review its long term performance. I usually prefer to use a purchase before reviewing it. I will however give my honest opinion. Up to now l think that this dog carrier is a wonderful item. My Yorkshire is a slightly larger one. 6.35 kilos. I bought the largest size which fits perfectly. It states that it is for dogs up to 7kilos. So that is a good guideline. He is 15yrs old now and cannot manage the long walks that he was used to. I had purchased a sling style dog carrier from America before they were ready available through Amazon. It put a great strain on my shoulder. This carrier however sits very comfortably on the upper back. I state that because in my opinion, l would rather carry the weight on my upper back than on the waist. If the straps are adjusted to the correct level. The weight is evenly distributed round the upper torso. As people are stronger there, other than the small of the back, then that is less likely to cause strain. So l disagree with the extra waist strap theory. I have a large capacity backpack carrying the load mainly on the waist line. It causes my back to ache. I am not a back pain sufferer. The straps are very wide and sit very well on the shoulders and upper back. It has sliding shoulder pads. It has four holes for pooches legs and a tail hole. The stress is taken on the dogs bottom above the tail with a stretchy renforced material. The rest of the front is a stretchy mesh. There are strong zips on each side to fully open the front. Velcro fastened to close the top. The part that goes against the body is a thin but strong nylon type fabric. It has a little give which puts less pressure on the dogs spine. The carrier is foldable which is great for putting into a rucksack or bag. The end of the webbing on the straps have substantial slot in clips. Similar to car seat belts. So l hope that they last as they take the whole weight. Most importantly the third time we used it, my dog was tiring on the walk. When l went to put him into the bag he almost dived headfirst. He loves it and sits there totally relaxed looking around at the world at a different perspective. I have to add however. The first time he sat in it, he was unsure and a little uneasy. His legs protruded straight ahead. As l had an open jacket on with the carrier under it. All you could see were four hairy legs protruding from my jacket. It looked like the scene from Alien, when the monster came out of the man's stomach. It did slow a few cars down. His legs now flopp down whilst l do all the hard work. How we love our pets! Still, it saves paying for the gym as you get an excellent weight baring workout as well. That's providing your dog is above 6kilos. Phew.! Excellent product for an excellent price. Highly recommended. I can now enjoy long walks again.

Overall great but few practical issues
This a papoose is good and a fantastic idea. My dog had recently had leg surgery so unable to walk long distances. She is an 8 kilo westie and she fills as extra large with a little space. However she is quite a 'long westie'.My high score reflects the value for money but there are a few issues with this item. First the neck hole is really large in comparison to the rest of the item so she leans forward a little too far, so I found myself supporting her slightly. It's a two man job to get the dog comfortably, there's no way I could hold her weight and get her legs in properly, but I imagine this is down to the size of my dog rather than the item. She didn't sit very comfortably dangling out, but she found a way she preferred, which was sadly for my back it was at a funny angle, but she was very comfortable in it for a couple of hours. Finally this item is definitely easier than carrying the dog about but it could do with another couple of supportive straps to spread the load for the larger sizes as I felt the pull on my back and chest the next day.

Great little carrier
This carrying bag is very good. Sturdy straps and quite comfortable to carry a 3kg chihuahua. I wouldn’t want to carry anything much bigger. The bag does come up very small. My chi is an XS or S but the medium is just about the right size for her. For a chi that absolutely hates anything being put on her, even her walking harness, she took to this quite well. It will be really tested in November on a walking holiday. She has a lactating patella and so it can cause her issues if the walk is more than an hour.

a good product.
Well made, and probably O.K. for the smaller size. However, the large size means you can carry a 7Kg to 8Kg dog which puts a heavy load on your back. What is needed is a waist belt in addition to the shoulder straps. This would mean that the load is taken on the hips. This is how any decent rucksack is built. Otherwise, a good product.

The canine safer way of traveling.
I brought this for a friend who has a puppy Yorkshire terrier, he's a live wire bit gets tired but won't give in, he cried so much one day because he couldn't go out with he's owner as she was going for a bike ride I decided he could go with her & be safe in one of these carriers, he took to it like a duck to water & loves the wind in he's hair, I also brought her the bag on the shoulder so he can go in places with her rather than stand outside with her young daughter, another safer issue, so yes very sturdy well made, good price, very safe excellent both pieces & very reasonable prices, he loves them we love them so yeah great.

Meh!
I love to bring my dog everywhere I go and she rides the motorcycle with me. I have a sling bag which is not really efficient on a bike so thought I'll get my darling riding papoose style. She is a small cavachon of approx 8 kgs and I purchased the large bag. One look at us in the mirror and I felt sorry for us both. Not sure if she's comfortable in there she did not say but for me it was uncomfortable. More so I have broad shoulders and the strap would not clip in place. Asked my smaller shoulders wife to try it on and the strap was ok but I still felt sorry for my dog as if my wife does not walk hugging the carrier it just hangs weirdly. Sent it back with no regrets.
