Tailgator Gas-Powered Blender

Fun item to own. Works well once it starts. Had some trouble starting it when the blender is full. Took it to a lawn mower shop to have the carb adjusted. Seemed to help some.

It was clearly a novel item however the drive shaft from the motor connecting to the blender is not stout enough to handle a high concentration of ice. I used mine for about a week and the shaft broke. I am not stuck with a product with no resources to get replacement parts. Even if I could get a new driveshaft it would most likely break again.I suppose this unit is good for recipes that don't call for a think ice ratio.The motor seemed to run smoothly and put out great power. It certainly is a novel item and attention getter.

Blender works great, is very easy to operate. The fumes cause everything to taste a bit "gasoliney", but you get used to it surprisingly quickly (the copper aftertaste takes the longest to acclimate to). Unit is especially convenient if you (like me!) love hunching over the floor in your filthy garage while holding ingredients in a dusty bowl whenever you need to make a margarita.I'm so pleased with my purchase that I just can't wait to try their diesel-powered salad tosser!

I did my research and this is one of the best. It's the third generation blender with a in breakable jug. With that being said the only gripe is that the jug itself is only standard size. For a 2.25 ho blender it could be a lot bigger but get one! Mine has been to coachella, weddings, Sasquatch... Anywhere. Worth every penny
