It makes my skin soft and refreshed.

I normally use Fresh Sugar Strawberry exfoliating wash, but it is out of stock. I tried this due to the great reviews and it also being a sugar exfoliating wash. This one isn’t for me. The sugar crystals didn’t melt when massaged on my face and felt rough like it was scratching my skin. The scent was ok but nothing special and very light and it was difficult to rinse off (like very sticky).

so far I am happy with this product. Very gentle micro scub. Will buy agin

I’ve never used a sugar scrub on my face before, but have used the scrubbing acne washes. After hearing about the plastic pieces getting in skin I thought this was worth a try. I’m glad to have tried it, but can’t see myself repurchasing it especially for $25. It has a bit of a pinesol scent. It’s not as strong or overwhelming, but still a little off putting. It’s also a bit difficult to wash off and leaves an oily water repellent type moisture barrier. As I have dry skin I’m not sure that’s great because my face definitely requires a moisturizer after any washing or I break out. On days I skip my toner my face starts breaking out (from dryness not the wash based on the type of acne) so at least it’s forcing me to use my full skin care regiment! If you have normal or oily skin this might be a better fit (assuming you also like a limey pinesol scent).

Ok, maybe it's because I'm Hawaiian and this stuff just speaks to me directly, but WOW!!! This cleaner is fantastic! Its gentle enough not to irritate, but gets all the dead, dry skin off easily. It was the last product in a long line I have picked up from Hanalei and I can not be happier. The scent is also wonderful and clean!

I will never claim to be an expert on skincare, as the majority of my efforts and opportunities to do some are a result of other people in my household walking by and wiping any excess moisturizer or toner on me in a not-so-subtle message of "your dry skin looks terrible, here, let me help you with that". In the middle of winter in Minnesota, this tends to happen to me a LOT more often than other time of the year as the dry air makes my skin look and feel like dehydrated leather. So when the two people in this house want to verify something works to moisturize and open up pores, I function as a pretty good test subject.One of the test's this past week was this lotion for the daughter going through her phase of love for all things Hawaiian.***The Exfoliating Feel***I already know that I personally am not a fan of lotions and creams that feature large beads for the sake of exfoliation. I don't need something with that much grit and for me, the feel has never been ideal. For a tweenager/teenager, however, understandably it's a different story. They're all about opening up pores to help combat the closure and blockage caused by the slightly greasier/sweatier qualities of younger skin so I can appreciate that. If it's something you need or like, this scrub definitely has that grittier feel going on (even if the beads are still technically very tiny, it's always amazing how big the grit feels when you're scrubbing it in).***Scent***In her pursuit of love for Hawaiian things, the daughter has had a number of products that were almost offensively over-scented, but this isn't one of them. This is far more neutral which is a definite plus. A little bit of a scent goes a long way, especially when the scrub in question is being applied to the face.***Amount needed***This stuff spreads remarkably far using even small amounts. Most of my encounters have been small dime- to nickel-sized dabs, and those alone are enough to cover my hands and then some. You do not need to use a lot at once, which is good because this tube isn't huge. That helps a lot with letting this last a while and to become a regular part of your morning cleaning-regimen as opposed to just having a tube for a week, running out, and deciding it's not worth restocking.***Overall Value***It seems that this has become a favorite of the daughters which means we'll likely be picking up more when it runs, which isn't quite a strain considering how far each tube can be stretched. It's a pretty good value, so if she does opt to get more it's good to know it'll last and won't break the bank.

I am IN LOVE with this face scrub! First off, there are so many products now that do not come with any sort of safety seal. This face scrub has 2 safety seals! There is a tamper-proof seal on the box (it says "void-opened" once you open the box. Then the tube on the inside has a foil seal. So it is not only tamper proof, but also keeps the product fresh. This scrub has a creamy consistency, kind of like a cold cream with fine grit. It is no where near as harsh as those universal apricot scrubs that tear up your face. It left my face feeling clean and not irritated- I followed up with serum and a light moisturizer and my face felt pampered for sure. There doesn't appear to be any nasty ingredients and its made in the USA, which is a bonus for me! I expected the scent to be a little more tropical (I guess just from the packaging), but it does have a nice clean, citrusy scent, which makes sense after reading that it contains both Lime and Orange oils. A little goes a long way with this scrub, so I feel like this tube will last a long time. I will definitely consider purchasing more though once this tube runs out! A new favorite!
