The hardest problem finding a soft closer is matching the right size closer for the weight of the door. This closer works very well with my 8-10 lb. lid. I also like the locking feature when it is opened. The instructions were good and the dimensions they give for position of the device are accurrate. BTW this was my 3rd try at getting the right closer. This one works very well .

These are solid! We bought these to convert a old cypress chest into a toy chest. The old hinges were basically dead and we didn't want the kid to lose a finger.Installing was fairly straightforward but think that was just because I am somewhat handy. The instructions are pretty bad. There's some QR code but I didn't have my phone with me so that was a no go...maybe they are good using that.Once installed they are super strong and sturdy. The chest lid closes nice and slow so no more worries about crushed fingers.I do wish that there was some sort of tension adjustment. One hinge was no where near enough but two is a bit too much. But end of the day they meet the need.Would certainly purchase again.4 stars because I miss the days of printed instructions that actually make sense

I ordered these for a tack trunk used by an adult, not abused. It lasted two weeks before she sent me this photo of it broken. They need to do better. So many of this style out there, not sure which ones are high quality of it they are all junk from same factory sold my many different sellers…

My husband put this on a bench with a storage compartment so we could use it for our grandson's toys. It's very sturdy and works well to keep the bench seat from slamming down on his fingers. Would definitely recommend!

I used for soft closing a 30lb lid, but returned as not strong enough

Quality isn’t great, no way to contact the manufacturer. Sheared in two after a year of use (by a toddler). However, I am buying again as there aren’t really many other options out there. Annoying

When I saw the complicated measurements on the instructions, I almost gave up and returned them. Instead, I found a video online and realized I could simply tape the template In place as a guide. It worked perfectly without any measuring at all. And it only took about five minutes to install both of them!

So far it is working well but we will see over time if it will stand up to kids. Pretty easy to install
