Buy bigger size than you need!
Bought age 10 - 11 years for my fairly tall 8 year old and it fits well. Came unstitched on both armpits fairly soon after my daughter started wearing it, but I sewed it back together easily and it has been fine since. Nice fluffy fabric, nice colour, has washed well.
