Stealth 885 Commercial Blender, WildSide+ Jar, Blendtec Stealth Sound Enclosure, Strongest Commercial-Grade Power, Self-Cleaning, 42 Pre-programmed Cycles, Black

I bought two of these for my juice bar to replace Vitamix “Quiet One” blenders (which were EXTREMELY LOUD after less than a year of use and Vitamix could not fix them). The Blendtec is much quieter and blends perfectly. The lid is a little wonky as other reviews have mentioned, but as long as it’s placed securely we haven’t had any issues with leakage. (Though I guess it could be an issue with thinner liquids, as we only blend smoothies.) We did have to replace one due to an error message but Blendtec customer service was great and sent a new blender as soon as we shipped the broken one. We’re completely happy and will not go back to Vitamix.

Great blender, with more power than you'll ever need for standard use! If you have the money this is the way to go!

Literally just received it 2 days ago and was excited to try it after the Vitamix blender we have been using. Attempted to run a clean cycle and water sprayed everywhere. I tried on 3 different occasions. Then my husband tried it thinking maybe I wasn't getting the flimsy lid on right. Within 5 seconds of starting the blender we had a mess. The lid is worthless trash. I was so hopeful, but absolutely can not blend our daughters food for her g tube with this $1177 piece of junk.

Outstanding reduction in sound. Much quieter than the our original without the surrounding attachment. Yes, we can carry on a conversation next to it.

I couldn't decide on which one I wanted, so I bought two blenders. The BlendTec 885 Stealth & the Vitamix - The Quiet One. I've been using them both in commercial restaurants for a few months now. Blendtec Pros: - Powerful - Quietish - Nice design - Jars are easy to clean, and easy to pop into and out of the base. Blendtec Negative: - Lid comes off alllll the time and makes a mess inside the shield. Even after I take my time putting it on with lots of pressure in all corners. - Blended beverages require more liquid, or else ice won't blend at all. - Occasionally there is an electrical burning smell as if the motor is being overworked. Still working though. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Vitamix Pros: - Powerful. - Super quiet! - Nice design. Blender jar is a bit tricky to put into place, but once in, it stays there. - Easy to clean. Lids do NOT pop off. - Blends ice easily, and much faster than the Blendtec. Vitamix Negative: - Honestly, nothing negative to say. This is the preferred blender by all my staff.
