Couple of years back, I was having pain on my right side. I had gone to get some tests done, and they said I needed my gallbladder out. I didn't want that because everyone I knew who had theirs removed had problems. I had told my hairstylist, and she recommended this product. She knew of a couple of ladies who were Mennonites who swore by it. So I tried it. I was shocked because within a week, the pain subsided. It's now been about 2 years, and I am pain-free. I take 2 in the morning before my breakfast and two at lunch. I do I.F., so I stop eating at 2pm. Some places around here you pay more money so Amazon has the best price for this product.

Been having major health issues the doctors have no idea what is wrong with me. If your like me and have done test after test without any answer, you want a at least a fix of the symptoms. I reviewed with my Dr. some online discussions I came across about people with similar undiagnosed symptoms where someone brought up beta-food and how it fixed them. Since it didn't have an adverse effect with any of my heart medication, he didn't see issue with me trying it. Been taking these for a few weeks and some of my issues have not been resolved, but my energy went way up. Do not take recommend these with only a tiny snack. I made the mistake of grabbing a small handful of goldfish crackers and it tore up my stomach like some vitamins do on an empty stomach. I make sure to drink plenty of water and to eat at least a full serving size of a snack if I am not taking it with a meal. Seems to work somewhat, but was not the magic pill I was hoping for. I do like that even though I am still having health issues I am wanting to get out of the house more and feeling more frisky with the wife. Both things my Doctor says will help me get better. So regardless of the reason one might need to take this aura of extra energy makes it a worth a try rating from me. But always please discuss it with your doctor before mixing with any medication regiment.

This is a great product for someone with digestive problems related to lack of sufficient bile production, as I have been. Forgive me, but discussion of this topic must, by its nature, be a little less than genteel. So here goes. My natural pharmacist diagnosed the root cause of my health problems as the inability of my digestive system (liver, duodenum, etc.) to release bile when needed. He explained that bile is fundamental to the digestive process. The bile mixes with the food in your stomach to create a kind of "slurry" as preparation for the food's journey through the large and small intestines. As this "slurry" travels through the intestines, it releases nutrients to the body through the walls of the intestines; it also receives toxins from the body through the intestine walls for elimination from the body. If it's not working properly, many, many health problems arise over time, as happened to me. For the supplement to be effective, my pharmacist advised me to drink lots and lots of water with it (not other liquids, just water.) This is very important. Occasionally when I've not remembered to drink enough water, the supplement lost significant effectiveness. Interestingly, with my disorder, without this supplement, it doesn't matter how much water I drink, I am still constipated for days and days on end and sometimes for a week or more. I tried everything to treat this constipation. Nothing ever "really" worked. Now, for the first time in my life, using A-F Betafood supplementation, my digestion runs like a smooth, well-oiled machine. I am much healthier now, and I feel lighter, more energetic, and have less bulk around my middle. Friends and family tell me I look better, too. I continue to eat very healthy, as I always have, with lots of vegetables, fruit, proteins, natural grains, and minimal amounts of processed foods. For me personally, this product has been a "miracle" product. Unfortunately, no medical doctor was ever able to help me with this problem, each one saying, in essence, that people all have different elimination habits and I shouldn't worry about it ... i.e., live with it.
