worked great
Dyed a pair of tan coloured corduroy trousers that had bleach splashes. Took a while to work out what to do as instructions for front loading washing machines are on the website and have US cup measurements. A bit of internet research established that 1 cup water = 1/2 pint/500 ml and 1 cup non-ionised salt = 273g, table salt is fine, I used dishwasher salt. Instructions said to use highest temperature, was worried this would shrink trousers which were 95% cotton. Washed in machine on 95 degree wash, took 2 hours, and then did cold wash with small amount of detergent and removed jeans, cleaned inside o plf machine door and ran a short wash with detergent. Trousers dyed perfectly although the chestnut brown was darker than I wanted, but all in all a complete success !
