great children's book
This is a great children's book that will help your children to understand the connection between their body and feelings. Book to introduce the concept that emotions can change throughout the day and that all feelings are ok. The book can also be used to expand children's emotional vocabulary and to help them relate facial expressions to different feelings. The simple illustrations and simple rhyming text are a great way to open conversations between adults and young readers on what the different words mean to them and how to incorporate them into daily life. From feeling heat and cold, to sensations such as excitement, relaxation, wiggling and numbness, kids will learn to name their physical sensations. They will find out what makes them jump and laugh; what gives them tingles and goosebumps; and what makes them sad or feel relaxed. Also, this book for children offers hands-on activities for entertainment after reading.

Interesting story
A child learns that the body can do some amazing things. It tells us what to do when we are tired, cold, hot, nervous, and other feelings. It does it through sensations. When we listen to our bodies, we learn what our bodies need.I liked the first-person point-of-view. I enjoyed this story and how each sensation we feel tells us what we need to do to make our bodies comfortable. I liked that experiments were in the back of the book so we could try them and see what our bodies were telling us.I look forward to more in this series.

A cute little book to help children understand the signals their body gives.
This book offers a nice way to teach children to listen to their body and not exert beyond a limit. It covers a variety of sensations and feelings. I wasn’t convinced by the depiction of “enjoyment” (it was more a feeling of “relaxation” or “comfort”) but the rest of the sensations were spot on, with the reactions of the body and the response of the boy working perfectly in sync. There is a little activity at the end of the book to help little readers understand their own body by practising some of the “sensations”. The author is a child psychologist, and her experience and expertise shows in the range of feelings she has included within this little picture book. The content is written in simple rhymes following the AABB format. The words are mostly manageable for the target age group of 3-5 years. The colourful illustrations are an added bonus. Suitably quirky, they add a fun quotient of the book, thus balancing out the serious information in the content.Definitely a recommended book for little readers who want to see the wonders of the human body without getting overwhelmed in information.
