I love Lego and have purchased a lot of sets over the years, but this has to be one of the coolest Lego sets of all time. Not only does this set look good (and is pretty faithful to movie design), but it packs a ton of playable functionality into a very tiny package. The wings fold and flap, and there is an insanely cool fold-out landing gear. Even if you aren't a huge fan of Dune, this set is really cool and worth picking up when it's on sale. Major props to the folks at Lego who designed this set [I want to hug you all].

My son had this built in less then 2 hours. He absolutely loved his gift. Hours of fun building and now he's enjoying the artistry of the flying masterpiece. We'll worth the money if you have someone who loves a challenge and love to build.

I bought this for my 45yo brother (yes, we're nerds). He was amazed by the complexity and structural strength of the build. The wings expanding and flapping is super cool. The counter locking gears is just neat. I knew it was big from the specs, but when I saw it in person, I was surprised--this thing is huge. I might buy one for myself now, too.

After watching the first Dune I thought, man it would be cool if there was a model kit of the ships. Low and behold...This was a fun build, and comes with some great mini figures. The ship looks great, and the wing functions are really cool (folding, flapping).If you are a Dune fan, or just a fan of Sci Fi in general, I would recommend grabbing one of these sets.

Very impressive Lego. It's pretty cool looking and my son really loved building it. Plus you can buy lights for it too.

It’s a great build, complicated and very heavy on Technic while having a lot of non-Technic lego build to it as well. Lots of minifigures which is great, but unfortunately means that they probably won’t be doing any more Dune sets. Especially as this one has been out a while now, Dune 2 was released a long time ago, and that’s that. I would totally get more Dune sets if they existed.There are nitpicks, the set is large and heavy, so it can be difficult to get the wings working just right. There is some repetition to the build for the wings but it’s not a large part of the build so it’s okay. It is a unique set and I’m super happy to have it in my collection.Also, since it’s a “nerd” set, there are lots of mods online for this one. For example, you could build it using alternative parts to better conceal some of the technic fasteners. I didn’t bother but this is further evidence that this set is one of the great sets!!
