these are so fun, we have glow in the dark parties with them lol

These are going to be part of my daughter’s birthday party favor bags next month and I’m sure they’re going to be highly appreciated as such. All kids love stuff that lights up right? I’ve seen these silly bendy tubes a bunch and we even had a set when my kids were young, but once I opened the box and tested them I was surprised to find that one of the ends is actually completely open, so you can look into it and even pull the lights out a little bit. The other end has the lights’ battery pack and button or whatever else in it, but the open end “concerns me” a little bit, and I’m hoping that the children in attendance at a 7yr old’s party will be mature enough to not pull them apart and make them a big issue. While that may sound like I’m expecting too much of a bunch of 6 and 7yr olds, I can’t tell you how many little packs of slime I’ve removed from party favor bags that we’ve received and put straight in the trash because I’m not allowing slime to ruin my furniture or carpets. To each their own.

My 4 yr old grandson loves these! Has been play with them for days. Can use imagination and be creative.

My kids love the tube fidgets so I thought these light up ones would be fun. Initially I thought it was weird that one end is open so you can actually access the twinkle lights inside. For my autistic nephews, that would not work. They would take those lights out in an instant. For my kiddos, the tubes are just about as durable as others they have played with, which meant that they lasted like 3-4 days before they were dented and not able to be squished back together correctly. They really like them though!

I got these for a teens' glow party because they seemed to be an upgrade from standard glow sticks as they appeared to be bigger, brighter, easier to use and longer lasting. However, my teenage kids said they were "pointless" for their interest. The teens didn't know what to use them for initially. Only a few used them as necklaces.These are labeled as fidget toys for kids and may be better suited for sensory needs. The sounds, stretchy shapes and lights may be more useful for that.

I think that with the right expectations, these things are great. I bought these as party favors for my daughter’s birthday party coming up. They work great and the kids love them. I suspect these will be short-term fun things for each kid, but not a long term toy, which is why I mention expectations.Each tube can be used with different settings for how fast the light blinks on and off. Even without the lights working these can be pretty fun for little kids. My daughter was super excited that we bought these for her party.
