Xenoblade Chronicles the Artbook
The artbook isn't bad, but for what amounts to essentially 50 bucks, you could probably color-print a high-res version of pictures you find online, rub a pencil on the backside of the photo paper and create the essentially the same thing. I'm not trying to complain, but the only reason you should buy this, is if you sleep, eat and breath this game. The pictures are nice and compliment the game, but doesn't go past Sword Valley...

Short and sweet artbook. Highly a collectible
Short and sweet artbook. Highly a collectible. Has nice thick unique card stock pages to showcase game illustrations and extra info. Great for Xenoblade fans.

Wonderful Collector's Item
As a note, this was a pre-order bonus for those that pre-ordered the game from Gamestop or Nintendo. These are NOT available new, and the only way to get one is to have pre-ordered the game, or to find one used. The book itself is really high quality. It has raised graphics that you can feel for that extra effect. The pages are a matte finish, while the ink prints are "slick" which helps the artwork to stand out. There isn't a lot of information, but it has the majority of the areas to visit, brief character bios (nothing significant here). It isn't a manual, it isn't a comprehensive book. What it is, is a nice bonus to those people that pre-ordered the game (most of which helped petition for the game to be released).Though short, it is a really nice book to have. For fans, this is such a rare find that it is worth buying if you get the chance. Once again, it isn't a very useful book, but it is a very quality piece of collector's edition memorabilia. The price is pretty inflated, but think of it this way... Most people that even knew what the game was when it was initially released (and pre-ordered it) were people that petitioned for Xenoblade, Last Story, and Pandora's Tower to be brought here in the first place. They fought hard to bring these games here. So the pre-order reward is something that most of the original owners likely still have. $40 may be steep, but it will only get higher as time goes by. Now is the time to own this unique collector's item.
