As a female, I built this media wall myself. The panels are great quality, easy to install and came out beautiful.Well worth the money.

I have had quite a few of these different types of wood wall paneling and these are definitely unique. They are basically a very heavy plastic. The only problem with this is that the edges on a few of them arrived bent. Because it's such a rigid hard plastic its not something that you can just bend back. And if your particular, then you are going to have some trouble matching up corners that are bent.They're easy to cut if you have a table saw. And the installation is going to take a little bit of expertise. And remember these are short so if you have a standard 8-ft wall you're going to put two of these on top of each other in which case there's going to be a horizontal seam in the middle of your wall. On these particular plastic ones that is a much bigger issue. In my opinion, it's not an acceptable solution. You would have to run a molding or trim in between the two pieces to make it look even remotely finished.I only got these because I wanted to use them outside and they are durable. But given the other options on the market, the wood with felt backing is much easier to work with for interiors

About half the box came with damaged panels. The return process is tedious and now I have to wait for my refund to be able to reorder. 😑

If you have a plain wall you'd like to dress up, these wood-plastic composite (WPC) panels offer a ready-to-install alternative to wood paneling. Made from wood fibers and recycled plastic, the panels feature an attractive wood grain finish, although the texture is more uniform than natural wood. The package includes 12 wall panels, each measuring 46.5 inches tall and 6.6 inches wide, with a flange that intersects with the adjacent panel. The panels are 1 inch thick, and four trim pieces and mounting hardware are included.Be aware that the 46.5-inch panel length can be problematic if your wall measures 8 feet from floor to ceiling, as this leaves a 3-inch gap. I worked around this by installing a 1-inch baseboard at the bottom and a 2-inch decorative molding at the top. My wife is impressed with the result.Installation was straightforward. My project involved covering a 5/8-inch plywood wall, so I had a solid backing to start with. Although a sufficient quantity of small screws is provided, I opted to use construction adhesive to secure each panel in place and then predrilled for 4d finishing brads in the panel valleys, which provided a clean appearance. To avoid damaging the paneling, I drove the brads in with a small hammer and a counterpunch. The project took about three hours, including cutting and adjustments. While the product description states the panels can be cut with a “chainsaw,” I doubt that would be a good idea. Instead, I used a table saw with a lowered blade height, which worked effectively. I worked slowly and carefully to avoid shattering the material.This 12-pack provides enough coverage for 3 feet of wall width from floor to ceiling. While these panels lack the classic beauty of natural wood, they are satisfactory for enhancing an interior wall with modest soundproofing benefits. The material is easy to clean and maintain, and this solution is less expensive and quicker to install than natural wood paneling.

These slat wall panels are proof that appearances can be deceiving. Once installed, they look sleek and modern, giving a polished look to the space. The installation process, however, is an exercise in frustration. The included hardware might as well not exist, and getting everything lined up is no small feat. If you’re willing to power through the pain, the end result is worth it—just don’t say I didn’t warn you.
