Absolutely Honest Review... Great Boot
I do not usually write reviews, BUT I seen a lot of people disliking these and I figured I’d give my 2 cents from a workers point of view. I am a commercial Plumber. I Work on numerous construction sites where the conditions are always changing. On the weekends I’m hiking, hunting, fishing, chopping wood, working on my vehicles, ETC. I’ve worn NUMEROUS brands of boots from Carolinas, big ol redneck Chippewa loggers, Thorogood boots, red wings, and on and on... Irish Setter Wingshooters are, in my opinion the Best all around boot I’ve ever worn. The comfort on these boots are Awesome, your old broken back will thank you. They are not a clunky boot by any means, if they Are clunky, then you picked the wrong size dummy. Check before you order. The toe on these are COMPOSITE. Not steel. Which is absolutely fine with me, the boot is VERY light compared to the steel toe loggers i used to wear. There is very good support in the ankle due to the 8 in leather upper. Now the durability of this boot, is pretty good. Could be a littleee bit better. Had them for about a year now. After about 7 months, the composite toe began to show through. I did apply a toe saver to it obviously that mended well into the leather and saved me from having the water leak though. However, after being worn every single day in dry, wet, dry, wet, dry, wetness, the leather began to break down (become non-waterproofed). I expected this so I do apply waterproofing and mink oil every month to my boots that will add a Little bit of weight, but not much that you will really notice. These boots, like any other leather, will not be waterproof forever. The laces lasted me about 5 months. (Not a big deal to me) The insulation on these boots are perfect to me. They don’t make my feet sweat (unless I wear heavier socks) and they keep them plenty warm in these upcoming colder months. As you can see I bought a 2nd pair because I do like this boot. Will most likely be buying these for as long as I continue to work.

2 years strong
I use these boots for everything. I work in them, I go hiking in the snow in them, and I do chores and housework in them. They're indestructible. I wear them on a daily basis, but they're still holding up perfect, just a bit of scuffing on the toes and the heel part of the sole has worn down a bit too from lifting heavy stuff. If I could take a pair of shoes into the apocalypse, it would be these. I've stood in the middle of an icy river in these boots and they're completely waterproof as long as you lace them up tight and don't let water go in the top. The only problem is that they can be too hot sometimes because of the lining and the 8 inch height, plus the leather seems really thick. But I live in the desert and it's still tolerable, so it should be fine if you live in a normal or colder climate. I would also recommend buying some SuperFeet Copper insoles to replace the insole that comes with these boots. The wedge sole is very comfortable, but the insole isn't great and it hurts my feet after standing for several hours straight. With the SuperFeet, these boots are perfect and my feet never hurt.

SUPER Comfortable
I've only had these boots now for 2 weeks but these are the most comfortable boots right out of the box, no break in period. Before these I was buying the slip-on Irish setters but now I will stick to these. And as far as waterproof, no leaking so far. I will do a further review the longer I have them.

Great boots as always
Been wearing this exact boot for years now. Get about a season and a half out of each pair (concrete)

Check model numbers before purchasing. Great boots
Not the same model as pictures shown . I love the wingshooter model. Very comfortable and durable! I have bought over 5 pairs in the last five years ever pair has held up great and not had any issues other than the laces braking, due to the hook eyelets are two sharp. That is the only flaw in my book. Water proof . But I always bees wax mine right out of the box and every month or so after . It helps break in and keeps them water tight. These are great for working on roofs . Walking trusses and bare sheeting. Tons of grip ! Not so good in the ice tho. My feet never hurt wearing these and I work long hours on all types of surfaces. I highly recommend these boots for any carpenter or general contractor. But check your model before ordering, this is the first time this has happened to me . Size runs true to a Nike shoe . I wear a 10, 1/2 “ and it fits perfectly. Hope this helps.

Your knees and back will thank you!
I'm on my third pair in five years. I'm rough on boots! I've worked outside my entire life, and I finally found boots that fit well and are comfortable out of the box. Worth the money.

Stitching is horrible
The fact that I paid good money for these bots and haven't even hit 3 months yet definitely would not buy these boots ever again and I suggest no one else buys these boots either absolutely disgusting with this products workmanship

Excelentes botas

Worth every penny
Worth every penny... very comfortable but not for heavy construction work as the leather will get damaged very easily. The sole is softer then normal as well... good for steel workers, carpenters, foremen, superintendants, consultants but not for concrete workers, demolition or underground work.
