Since my cat can be very finicky, it was important to have a product that could be easily incorporated into her food. This product (when the softgel tip is cut and the CoQ10 is expressed) is mixed easily with a teaspoon of soft food. I needed CoQ10 for my 9-year old cat after she was diagnosed with hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy.

I have a cat with cardiomyopathy as well as long term kidney issues.. He's on a plethora of medications and supplements, so it's hard to tell exactly what is most effective. I also give him the other form of this, Ubiquinol. In any case, he's looking pretty good overall. Especially since the heart specialist only gave him 6 months to live (optimistically in a cat with no kidney issues). This was about 2 years ago. I find that going to the heart specialist upsets him too much, so I've been staying away. But my regular vet saw him recently and thought he looked really good, and that his heart sounded perfect. I know that he's fragile. We just take it a day at a time.I think the shape of this supplement might be hard to get down a cat if giving the pill directly. I squeeze the contents from the capsule into a potion with strained meat baby food at it's base and a variety of other supplements (Standard Process Cardio, etc.), then squirt it into his mouth with an eyedropper. You should only do this through the side of the mouth, not straight down their throat from the front as they can choke. But cats are all different on what they will entertain and put up with. My cat Simba is especially gentle. I do give him some other medications in pill form, wrapped in a bit of pill pocket to make it slide down easier. I've never tried popping these down him. They look a bit big for a cat..They are gel caps, and easy to cut a tip off of.

Not happy that my second order of this looked completely different. Smaller in size and now pasties before it was oily. Did I get a bad batch?

Great supplements and easy to cut the tip to squeeze into dog food. My two dogs don't mind the taste at all.
