Finally a proper service manual! I have yet to see the phrase, "see dealer for service" like so many lesser manuals. Detailed instructions with many exploded parts diagrams on all of the operations you might want to undertake, and many you wouldn't.

Covers everything on the car just not in great detail don’t like that you have turn book sideways to read most ofitonly other choice would be multi volume set for big bucks with same info. Delivery was super fast

With a car as complex as an XJS you need a definitive manual. This is it. None of the other so called manuals come close to giving you the images and directions needed to repair, take apart and put back together one of these beasts. It isn't cheap, but if you intend any kind of work or just want to see what's going on, get this manual.

Very good info and quality material. However you have to readjust your thinking some to use it. Clearly a book written by a slightly different culture. Americans an Englishmen are people separated by a common language. Takes getting used to the segmentation and terminology. Also most of it is printed Landscape style. Weird but cool at the same time. Oh, I guess it is Jaguar after all.

This book is a must for any Jaguar enthusiast. Very accurate and useful

I also own the manual of the XJ6/12 but for a XJS one also needs this one for many reasons

This has everything you need to work on your car. This is not a Haynes manual, and that is a good thing…..this actually has the info you need. There are only 2 issues with it, albeit minor, that prevents it from receiving 5 stars.1. Some of the diagrams are very small and appear to be photocopied poorly, and are very difficult to read.2. Although it contain many of the most needed electrical diagrams, it does not have all of them, and you will need to purchase separate electrical diagrams for the model year you have.All in all, this was a great purchase and invaluable to have.
